New To Sports Blog Nation: The Atlanta Falcons, Women

Please welcome Dave The Falconer and his new SB Nation blog devoted to the Atlanta Falcons, The Falcoholic, continuing in the grand new SB Nation tradition of naming our chapters after substance abuse. Ho, Dave!
And, as well, please welcome Futbolgoddess and The Football Monologues, a new non-denominational blog for both female football fans and "girlfriends, wives, sisters, and mothers who know nothing about football but have to hear about it because their men are completely addicted."

Yes, my bachelor friends -- there are girls out there who are into both football and the internet. I know, I know, I'm trying to process that one myself. Hey, gals! We love spunk! Welcome!

Just got my (British) wife
into baseball (Game 7 of an NLCS seemed to do the trick).  But I don't hold out much hope for getting her into fitbah.  But hey, you never know.

All it takes
to get a girl involved is take her to a game.  Women are competative and catty and will enjoy yelling mean things at players from the other team.  I sure do!

And then, eventually, she'll learn the rules and won't piss you off so much by asking stupid questions while the Seahawks are in the red zone. Maybe.

Or, as girls call it,
the "pink zone"...no, wait...that's something entirely different.

Inappropriate
but I'm not surprised :)

(I believe...
(kskiff is one of them, phil... y'know, the fairer sex...)

Kate goes with me to all the games. She went to Tumwater High. Which is to say she was into football. She more than holds her own in the analysis department.

And, again I insist, my now-2-year-old daughter Lucie was responsible for at least 3 of the Giants' 11 false start penalties in that 2005 game.

You would be right, sir.
And, in fact, kskiff is my wife. :)

It's awesome that my wife loves football.
