at | Indianapolis Colts (0-1) |
| Sunday, August 20, 5:00 PT RCA Dome TV: NBC |

The Hawks fly to Indianapolis to take on the finest TV spokesman in the business... for about a half-hour, after which the backup teams take over. I'll be watching this through at least the end of the third quarter, so c'mon by and we'll have a campfire singalong of "Bittersweet Symphony." I'll be straddling between here and Stampede Blue myself.
Update [2006-8-20 23:3:22 by Shrug]: Game over, Seattle wins. I'll have a post-mortem either later tonight or tomorrow.

Weaver on the draw play
Seattle 20, Indy 7, halftime
A pretty good start, against a forceful defense.
So far...
Our bend-don't-break defense wasn't terribly impressive in the first quarter, but started to jell in the second. Peterson got his first significant play of the preseason, forcing Sorgi into a bad throw that fell into Green's hands, resulting in a defensive TD.
Our returners, Scobey and Warrick, have been spectacular. (Yes, Scobey).
Hasselbeck looks a little pressured, but hasn't made any egregious errors, working out some perfect West Coast moves. And Engram has been life-affirming.
I may leave this game early -- I have a business meeting tonight. But so far, not bad.
Hawks
Dumb TOs and bad ST by the Colts have lead to all 20 of Seattle's points.
Hasselbeck looked very good.

Incomplete, but a flag
Seattle 23, Indy 10
Weaver pounds it through...
Seattle 30, Indy 10
That's it for me, online
Thanks to Big Blue Shoe for comin' by. See you all tomorrow.
Nice Work Shrug
I did see the Weaver stiff arm and the warrick catch and make about 8 people miss and run around the other side to make a 2 yard catch into a 10 yard first down.
Highlights..
And cheers to Shrug for the commentary, I was refreshing here the whole time, really helpful to have some description to go along with the boring gameday commentary. Can't wait till get some more regular users on here. Will be awesome.
Thanks!
I'm not sure of any places you can check the highlights, aside from espn.com, and I don't even know how thorough they are. You might check out seahawks.com, but I'm unfamiliar with their video playback function. Readers?
Playing To The Room: I believe there are quite a few people around here who'd like to thank Australia for Lauren Jackson. (And Jason Schmidt, if the M's get him here next year.)
Don't forget Chris Snelling

No Probs with our good exports. They get no love..
Happy to send LJ over there, its good to have the best basketballer in the world*. Couldn't believe it when she went to play for my Seattle Storm.
And Chris Snelling! How good it is to be an Aussie following seattle sports at the moment, if I didn't follow the M's I would never have known about him though. I didn't know Schmidt was an Aussie till just then, these guys get no love down under.
Bout the highlights, its all good. I'll find something I'm sure, I'm on the net for long hours anyways..
Cheers

You never heard about Jason Schmidt...
Ya isn't Schmidt from Washington State?
