The word is he'll be limited if he starts and regardless he'd be matched against a top cornerback for whatever snaps he sees.

You know who I feel for, all the Niners fans who were told all offseason and preseason that their team's a contender. Not only was that team never a contender, even for the NFC West title (ignominious as that now seems), they are now the worst team in the NFL.

Half Time Cap
The D and Special teams have shown up, as usual. The Hawks have a double digit lead, but some cracks are apparent.

Frankly, I'm scared.

The first problem is the Hawks rushing attack is still struggling mightily. That means Seattle won't be able to sit on their lead and may three and out the Browns right back into this. Plackemeier is still struggling, so a three and out will give the Browns good field position. Most worrisome though is the lack of pressure from the front four. Winslow and Edwards are finding space in the Hawks' deep zone, and with the rush largely neutralized, Anderson is getting a chance to wind up. The Browns' offense is not consistent, but it is explosive. If Seattle could chew some clock, they could get on top of the Browns, put them in desperation mode, turn this into a rout - but when was last time you saw Seattle conduct a clock chewing drive?

The Browns are dangerously close to getting back into this. Seattle has shown a willingness to mix up the carries, get Weaver and Morris involved in the rushing game. That would be the perfect recipe for a sustained drive. If Alexander is leaned on, counted on, mandated 80+% of the carries in the second half, the Hawks offense will stall and what should be a game in which the Hawks can coast to a win, may become the worst kind of loss.
