Frank Gore doesnt impress me as
My Opinion.
My point WRT to Peterson/Gore is that both have similar skill sets (patient, good cut-back ability, can break tackles) and both come from good run blocking teams with good lead blockers (Kleinsasser) that the Hawks speedy, aggressive front seven has had troubles with. Especially the -Tubbs version. With Tubbs getting 10-15 snaps and Mebane getting some looks with the first team defense we should get some idea of how the Hawks will do against Gore by seeing how they do against Peterson.
One problem, that's Ken Hamlin.
I know it's preseason, but I'm pretty jacked for this game. Game 3 is like the preseason NIT in NCAA basketball, it doesn't count against the standings, but it tells you something about the team.
if the 3rd pre-season game is the most important

shaun with a 5 yard catch
Also
So far Trufant has been playing at a different level this pre season (at least I think so)
for those like me that cant' watch right now
Morris has looked yards better than Alexander...
Verne's doing this for *money*?
(Sorry, I shouldn't make old jokes.)
(He just made some pretty laughable gaffes last week.)
I don't think Wilson looked that good in the play
Wilson's skill-set was designed for zone coverage, but without the pass rush zones sort of lose their teethe.
Recapping the first half:
- Tavaris Jackson fumbles on the first snap of the game--Hawks recover. Field Goal
- The Hawks run D has looked very strong. Tubbs/Darby have effectively stuffed the middle.
- Trufant has been 90% strong, but is still having trouble with play fakes.
- The Hawks are not generating pass rush.
- Hasselbeck has been in top form. The interception was a case of excellent coverage by Antoine Winfield.
- Locklear is proving competent at left tackle. Willis, serviceable at right.
- Alexander is a very poor pass blocker. His stats look decent, but he looks slow. This is a very tough run defense, which must be considered, but I'm of the opinion that if Morris gets some looks in the second half he will prove himself the superior back: Better pass blocking, better receiving and more consistent, more efficient running.
All in all, the Hawks have been superior team. The weak running attack has cost them in the red zone.
just about to draft on espn for jerramy stevens

Watch this:
It's so frustrating.
Weaver's had some gaffes, some glaring screw-ups, but his ability to receive out of the backfield is invaluable to Holmgren's offense. Instead of burying Weaver, we should be rooting for him, highlighting his accomplishments. His screw-ups have been very poorly timed, often resulting in big turnovers, but he's never had a fumble problem and without a sliver of improvement he's still three times the pass blocker Shaun Alexander is.
Nothing can be accomplished by calling Weaver out, but he will be because it's cheap, an easy story, something that resonates without a moments thought.
It's so frustrating.
