A Brief Vacation

I don't know how this slipped my mind until now; I guess I've just been crazy busy, but I'm going to take the next 5 days off because, well, because I'm getting married tomorrow. I'll eventually add some photos in the comments thread, but my wife to be and me are keeping this decidedly low key. That is no ceremony, no tux, no gown.

I should be back to daily or near daily posting by Monday. Thanks everyone.

This place has been wedding/engagement central lately, what with Shrug, Scruffy, and now you all getting engaged/hitched.

Yeah, I'm kind of a strong personality. When I was in High School I convinced everyone I knew to like Modest Mouse. Convinced isn't the right word. I don't, um, proselytize or anything, but the things I love I'm crazy enthusiastic about. I guess it's catchy.

Oof.

There is no weather analogy to describe the crappiness of our wedding day.

I hurt my back at work (but finished my shift and worked today (and am in excruciating pain))

My Wife's (!) elderly great uncle was thrown out of his apartment and since her parents are away on a cruise the responsibility fell to us.

About a million other things I'd care not detail.

And now Alanya has strep throat.

Hopefully this is one of those starts bad/ends good things. Basically the complete opposite of the Green Bay debacle, which, even now, after weeks and in perspective of everything else that's happened, hurts like a bitch. How's that for pathetic fandom?

I'll be back on Monday. I might run a rolling drunk through the weekend while my wife (!!) sleeps off her infection. Or, since I almost certainly was exposed, maybe I'll just get real sick in time for the Super Bowl.
