Game Thread: Seahawks @ Tampa Bay 2

On the one hand, unlike in previous weeks, Seattle isn't getting their skulls stomped in. They are losing, but they're stopping the run, winning important matchups and look like a slightly inferior team that's suffered some terrible breaks.

On the other hand, I no longer think Seattle is a good team. A bad team trailing by 17 doesn't come back. This might be my last sincere half of hope for this season. If Seattle is crushed, and I guess I should expect they will be, I'll continue discussing impact players for next season. Need something to watch.

that's what ridiculous injuries will do

it’s not just the injuries themselves… I have a feeling the whole team just feels snakebit and has lost its confidence.

The coaching situation has not helped.

ARGH.

Still, never, never, never give up.

John, please don't stop writing.

Your analysis is some of my favorite reading on the web.

The ALCS

is awesome…

do we take a QB in the top 5?

It is what it is...

by kidder95 on Oct 19, 2008 7:03 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Wow

Lot of faith in their defense, and why not?

by lemonverbena on Oct 19, 2008 7:03 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Seattle doesn't need resignation.

What I wouldn’t do for a little fire at halftime. Let’s whip some ass. Let’s embarrass some stars. Get your heart back in it Holmgren!

by John Morgan on Oct 19, 2008 7:04 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

I love you Forsett

Good to see the guys aren’t giving up

I'm loving watching Forsett with the punts

It’s almost like he hasn’t been around for several very depressing weeks and has some optimism still.

I hope that it is infectious.

fucking hell

Morris took the exact wrong lane

by lemonverbena on Oct 19, 2008 7:07 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Wait wait!

Didn’t Weaver have a seam and then he cut right and into the defender?

by GarethLewin on Oct 19, 2008 7:07 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Sorry,

my question stands. Did I just see wrong, or did he have two blockers and a seam between them, but cut right and into a defender?

by GarethLewin on Oct 19, 2008 7:09 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

He went the wrong way.

That’s typical Morris, but Spencer blew his block.

by John Morgan on Oct 19, 2008 7:09 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yes

All Morris had to do was run up his blockers’ asses for a first down. BOOOO

You got them both wrong

But I don’t care because he’s dead to me.

It’s “Jerramy Stevens”

Haha oops

But now it’s Jerramy Stevens the Ex-Seahawk. haven’t heard his name without the Ex-Seahawk bit.

Vista works great for me

I have 3 VM’s running on my Vista64 system right now with nary a problem. People just enjoy being critical of things that are new. I encountered the same thing when people told me how much better Windows 98SE was vs. Windows 2000.

by fender on Oct 19, 2008 7:32 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

I have vista and havn't had problems either.

The problem is when you have a crappy computer running vista.

by redwolf75 on Oct 19, 2008 7:33 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

We have too many WR's

Holmgren knows how to fix that problem

by fender on Oct 19, 2008 7:33 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

I don't get it.

Does MH have some list of players based on a situation and he plays them unrelated to how they are performing?

by GarethLewin on Oct 19, 2008 7:34 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Holmgren does it when the return is inside the 10

I think he’s worried someone else will fumble.

by MFAN on Oct 19, 2008 7:34 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

oh yeah, right

because saying you were “stabbed in the back” when a coach chooses to win rather than placate your desire for personal glory means you’re a good guy.

I always thought he was insufferable.

by djafrot on Oct 19, 2008 7:41 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

That was one comment

that doesn’t make him a bad guy.

by MFAN on Oct 19, 2008 7:43 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah, I mean with his lengthy arrest record and history of domestic abuse, drunk driving. The nerve! ………….

stabbed in the back

but yes, he’s a swell guy.

would be lucky to have a chucky on our squad

It is what it is...

by kidder95 on Oct 19, 2008 7:49 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

im having a ridiculously hard time understanding...

A) why our corners are 10yds off of the line on 3RD DOWN AND 6

B) How our fearless secondary coach has encouraged said retarded behavior

C) How this doesnt make anyone else want to punch a baby in the face.

Do we have talent

or are we a bad team… We look bad… this is not a scheme issue anymore. this is bad talent. Meban aside, we are bad.

by kidder95 on Oct 19, 2008 7:52 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

I disagree

the coaching is bad.

by kidder95 on Oct 19, 2008 7:53 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

How bad can this team be?

It’s the same as last years, except we upgraded Wahle…

by LantermanC on Oct 19, 2008 7:54 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

I also disagree.

Just look at last years squad. More talent? I don’t think so.

More injuries and bad coaching.

by redwolf75 on Oct 19, 2008 7:55 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Next year, we draft either

a top flight safety, a QB of the future, or an LT of the future.

by redwolf75 on Oct 19, 2008 7:54 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Ugh

Michaels and Collinsworth verbally fellating the Tampa Bay organization for a good 10 minutes there.

Im not good with changing allegences....

I would rather just hate the NBA all together than decide to like my wifes favorite team the Kings.

then i rethought….that would be great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Easy there Ruskell...

we’ve had enough knee jerks this year.

Hill's huge hit, Duckett running over the ref, players impersonating Gruden....

almost every kick and punt return, and Morris’ big run are my highlights.

I thought he was doing OK, then we barely heard from him up until now.

by redwolf75 on Oct 19, 2008 8:04 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

we

by kidder95 on Oct 19, 2008 8:05 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

it is time

we learned the value of talent. REAL talent, not potential. We get ridden like a mule on Hutch because we let THE BEST GUARD in the game go. We get ridden like a mule because we allowed our team chemistry to be subconsciously sabotaged.

It is what it is...

by kidder95 on Oct 19, 2008 8:07 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

It's a post-mortem on the Holmgren era for the Hawks

they’ll probably flex out the NE-SEA game, so this will be the last time NBC sees them this year.

CARLSON TD

Sorry, two bright lights this year, JJ and Carlson

by GarethLewin on Oct 19, 2008 8:08 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Forsett perhaps, and maybe Red by the end of the season?

Certainly not Courtney Taylor, remember when he had ‘potential’?

by LantermanC on Oct 19, 2008 8:09 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

No.

We need Graham TD, Carlson TD, Graham TD, Carlson TD…
