Around SBN: The Record of Wrongs: Vanderbilt Commodores

The window of opportunity hasn't closed just yet...

Since the move to a 16-game schedule in 1978 -- and not counting strike years -- just three teams have made the Super Bowl with a record worse than 11-5:

   1) 1979 Los Angeles Rams (9-7)

   2) 1988 San Francisco 49ers (10-6)

   3) 2007 New York Giants (10-6)

   * Of which, the 49ers & Giants are tied as the worst regular-season teams to ever win the Super Bowl.

At the very least (and maybe this is the *high-life* talkin) ... please, DEAR GOD, give us one more week of believing in our heart, all that our brains have been trained to disregard.

All the best from the East Coast, an lets flip-the-bitch. Hook-em Hawks!

A place to bury strangers.

Window of opportunity...

I am with you brothe and I will keep hope alive as long as possible, but we are without our HERO, and the one thing that he did not get from Brett Favre was his toughness. Let me just say that those teams didn’t have the problems that we are having. Plus they had guys like Montana, Youngblood and Strayhan. We have a bunch of overpaid defensive star that have forgotten what it means to be tough.

Let’s keep hope alive, but with this motley crew, I would be looking to come up for air soon and not hold my breath to long.

Maybe we can preach a point of positive thinking around Seattle and perhaps the power of the universe will turn to our favor.

Go Seahawks!

I disagree about Hass.

He’s fights through tons of hits and little injuries every year. Favre certainly played through some tough things but he never played a game with a torn ACL…which Philip Rivers did during the playoffs.

Favre had some measure of luck never tearing a knee, or some other injury you can’t play through. Although he played through injuries some people don’t, and showed amazing toughness doing it, some people act like he is invincible.

Great Screen Name

By the way I love the screen name. All I have to say is, “I feel the need, the need for speed”.

I gave up after the GB game.

I commend any seahawk fan who didn’t.

Thank you

I needed to See that…..

Hopefully we can pull off a win against a team that we should have beat earlier this season….
