Field Gulls Facebook Page
If anyone knows how to use this, go ahead and clue me in. I had this dream last night where I was told I had increase Field Gulls' readership to 5,000 daily visits before the end of the season. No shit. Weird--actually a really boring and pathetic dream. I'm usually fighting robots and shit. Anyway, I'm developmentally disabled when it comes to social networking, but I should make an attempt. I'm also looking to add a MySpace page.

I expected a Fieldgulls group, but I guess it's a person/entity?
Is this what you wanted?

I'm no social networking nerd either, so I guess someone else can help.
Though I think the way it is, is that if you have a facebook account under ‘John Morgan’, you can create a group called Field Gulls, and you’ll be the admin of it, and then people can join the group and post in it or whatever (not really sure what the point is….) Though the way it is set up serves the same purpose I believe.

so... there's a PERSON named "Field Gulls"
That’s an interesting way to do it… probably should be a “group”. Lanterman has it right.
Otherwise we’re all going to have a friend called “Field Gulls”.

Department of Redundancy Department?
I fail to see how having a facebook page is helpful for Field Gulls. I think that social networking has supplanted most people’s needs to have their own “johndoe.com” personal blog, but the Field Gulls blog serves most of the same group functionalities as a facebook or myspace page (fanposts, videos, commentary). Besides, there are already Seahawks pages on facebook (the Watercooler Network is the one I visit) — better to just promote the blog through posting on those existing pages.
But if you think a facebook page will just be good for publicity, then yes, Lanterman’s right. You need to create a group with you as the admin in order for it to work the way you want.

The Lookout Landing Facebook group has been a tremendous success.
I would agree that having a group would be the better way to go.

How does one do that?
That question, I know, is idiotic, but take the funniest moment of your Granddad handling a cellphone and that’s me. I don’t even own one.

On the right hand side under applications is a link that says groups. Click that.
At the top of the next page is a button that says Create New Group. Click it and go from there.

Or:

I’ll make you an admin once you join so you can set it up how you’d like it.

Posted a couple thoughts on there
Dunno if if anyone’ll respond.
Also, I’m gonna do my best to get pub for this site. My season would be a lot more manic if I didn’t have the calming logic of John Morgan and his analysis. And my life definitely doesn’t need anymore manic.
