Most Memorable Seahawks Games Ever???
Hey Guys,
I'm new to the site but love what I see so far and can't wait to get more involved.
A question for you though- If you were to think back over the past 30 years or so of Seahawks football, which individual games stick out most in your minds? Things like huge comebacks, miraculous wins, crazy things that happened in the stands, SuperBowls, conference championships, blunder type games (Leon Lett type things)?
Thanks guys!! Just trying to get some insight into what makes the Seahawks so special to so many of us!!

Um... pretty sure the one that's etched into my memory the most is the freakin Superbowl....
A great game that season was the game we had against the Giants, and the back to back “games” with Philly and SF.

For me, when Feely missed those 3 FG's in OT back in 2005.
That was the greatest.

1998 Seahawks v Chargers
First Seahawks game my dad ever took me to, only Seahawks game I saw in the Kingdome. Ryan Leaf throws 2 picks and fumbles twice before getting benched. Seahawk’s win big

Seahawks/Chiefs at Arrowhead 11/11/1990
The Chiefs sacked Krieg about 50,000 times (Derrick Thomas set the single-game NFL record), but Krieg found Paul Skansi in the endzone as time expired and the Hawks prevailed 17-16. Unbelievable.
The win over Dan Marino in the playoffs in 1983 – new year’s eve 1983 – Hawks 27-20.
That crazy OT game in the Kingdome against the Chiefs 51-48 on Norm Johnson’s FG.
The conference championship, duh, with the pass to wallace and Nick Goings getting stuffed on basically every play.

Tough
Best game = NFC Championship 2005. It was so great to watch the entire 4th quarter knowing that the Hawks were going to the Super Bowl.
Most Memorable = The Jay Feely Game and the Romo fumble. Still can’t believe we won those games.

The Romo fumble is the one I always think about
but I think the Super Bowl is still the most memorable. And I’d agree that the NFC Championship game was the best.

This is my answer
The Dallas game in 05 had a incredible ending and Mack Strong’s run against Washington was my favorite moment from that year.

My favorite moment from the title game
When Smith fumbled the football at the end, the entire stadium got quiet for half a second, than realized that there was no way the team wasn’t going to the super bowl and pandemonium broke lose. For as long as I live, my memory of the atmosphere leaving the stadium will be my happy spot.

Looking down at the 12 man flag
And then watching Romo bobble that snap! WOW

The 3 missed fgs and the fumbled snap
Those are my favorite games.
If life gives you lemons, keep the receipt

The 1st ever Seahawks game I can clearly remember
‘84 Kingdome vs. the Chiefs. The defense was suffocating, and KC was inept. They went through 3 or 4 QB’s that threw a total of 6 picks, 4 of them returned for TD, 2 by Dave Brown alone. What a way to get hooked for life, eh?
Growing up across the country in the pre-Internets days, the only chance I got to see the ‘Hawks play was the rare MNF or ESPN Sunday night games – which were like national holidays at my house, and for that reason they’ve taken on greater importance in my head. I remember the ’88 SNF game vs. the Broncos (with the Largent hit on Harden) and my 11-year self celebrating like it was the Super Bowl.
In recent years, I’d have to say my most memorable are the obviously the home playoff games vs. the Cowboys & Skins, the NFCCG, and the come-from-behind home win vs. the Rams back in ’03 that signaled that the team was finally coming together into a contender.

Can't run a slant to save his life
You may gain some yards on the ground, but eventually Lofa will end up biting you in the ass.

Definately the NFC Championship game.
Lofa and Goings had that awesome collision, Lofa didn’t necessarily win the hit but he did come back from it and continue to play. Smith got shut down. We kept pulling away, and as the game went on we all knew SB was for us.
That was when I learned why there were 2 weeks before the SB…so everyone could savor the feeling before everything actually happens.

I don't remember exactly when it was...
But the MNF game where we beat Green Bay in Holmgren’s first visit back to his former team.
The NFC Championship/2005 playoff run was definitely my most favorite and memorable games, along with the other recent playoff games (Romo fumbled snap… still makes me laugh).

Was that the game where Derrick Mayes caught a touchdown pass...
…and then faked a Lambeau Leap to celebrate? Because I remember my younger self thinking that was hilarious… (he was a recent ex-Packer)

I think I found it...
Seahawks 27, Packers 7 on Monday, November 1st, 1999. I didn’t remember Shawn Springs returning a blocked kick for the first TD… guess it’s been awhile.

2005 in general
Good year.

Christmas Eve 1982
The Seahawks vs Broncos. The first playoff game in Seahawks history, Ken Easly returned punts, ’Hawks won, Kingdome was at FULL volume. A 13 year old kid with my father, one of the greatest moments of my life.

Oh and for memorable moment
Anytime Jon Kitna overthrew a wide open Joey Galloway

GRRR!!! Why did you have to remind me?
So frustrating. I hate Kitna to this day because of that shit.

33-24
Sorry guys. Most memorable.
I was watching that game all day, but left with about 10 minutes left. Sweet Seahawks dominance, particularly since we had split the season series last year.
That day I left to play soccer. Was up by 3, lost 4-3.
After the game, I walked back to the car, and could feel a crushing sense that something was wrong grow by the tone of (Dori Monson’s?) voice.
This game ties into 2004, which was an entirely memorable season for terrible reasons. I can barely remember 2006. 2005’s ok. 2003’s a little fuzzy. Bobby Engram drops a TD in the end zone on 4th and Goal. Yeesh.
