Are Seahawk defenders worth more as individuals?
This game hurts to watch. What is wrong with the D?
Key FACTS:
They can't stop Brandon Jacobs.
They get torched deep.
They can't open field tackle.
They love to interfere with passing.
They are unable to reach the QB
Who poisoned their breakfast? This is not the defense we were told to expect 4 weeks ago. I thought week 2 was a fluke. It might be reality.
East coast travel + bye week + early game DOES NOT EQUAL COMPLETE COLLAPSE.
Someone tell me this is temporary.
I'm going to go cry in a corner until next weekend.
A place to bury strangers.

With no issue being the overwhelming problem.

We know it's not "bad chemistry,"
because of past success with the same starters.
I’d call it a particularly bad day for all the players involved, no home crowd, and shitty coaching.

Defense, What Defense??
Sadly, our D might as well have been the Giants’ scout team today. They could not stop anything! I can’t understand it – these are good guys who we’ve all seen play well before..
Maybe it starts with the secondary NEVER being able to cover man-on-man without getting torched and leaving guys WIDE OPEN when they play zone.
It might start with that but most likely it’s a lot of things piggy-backed on each other and exacerbated by the 10am (1pm EDT) starting time on these East coast trips. I really think the league needs to look at changing the rule so that when a Western team is in the East, the game is at 4pm EDT instead of 1pm. That’s only fair but probably won’t happen.. And unfortunately we’ve got two more trips across the country in the first half of the season. Oy vey!

Theres an interesting question here
Key FACTS:
They love to interfere with passing.
The amount of PI and holding calls is getting ridiculous. What’s the cause of it? Is it because they’re getting beat so often and they’re holding in desperation? Are they being taught things that weren’t getting called before but now are getting penalties? It’s bad enough seeing the big plays down field but it seems like theres always a flag to go with it.

Undersized.
We have a lot of excellent undersized players on our team. We have been good at finding these guys but the problem is that we have too many of them on the same team. We are good against teams that want to run a lot of screens, sweeps, tosses, etc. We suck against power football up the gut though. When the other team has holes/weaknesses we can quickly send five guys in to exploit them Against a stout O-line that is solid from left to right we just don’t win any matchups outright.
We have a secondary that can cover but doesn’t ever jam anyone at the line. Jam them after five yards and pick up a penalty, sure, just not AT THE LINE.
We have a good defense but there is far too simple a formula for beating us because of weaknesses we love to accumulate deeper and deeper.

By size i don't mean being fat.
I mean strength, and the ability to occupy multiple blockers.

Then why did we shut down Marshawn Lynch?
Not hat simple.

It's John Marshall.
He needs to go. After this year, we need a fresh start on this team.
