Greetings from APC
I'm Mitchell, one of the writers over at the Green Bay SBNation blog, Acme Packing Company. I've seen a growing trend of reps from one site going to their weekly opponents' site and posting a Q + A type session in the fanposts. And, since I am a huge tool, I have decided to join the party.
Seattle has some obvious connections to Green Bay (Holmgren, Hasselbeck, Mike Wahle, Koren Robinson), so that might make the storylines of this game between two struggling NFC teams a bit more interesting. I'm here to answer any questions you have about the Packers, and I invite you guys to do the same over at Acme Packing Company. Fire away!

How is Ryan Grant looking
I remember the sodomizing very good job he and the Packers’ OL did at annihilating us in January. Do we still have that to look forward to?

Same Unit, Different Results
I’m a writer at Acme Packing Company too, and I was thinking of starting a fan post, but Mitchell beat me to it. I thought I’d take a crack at answering the questions anyway.
Well not quite the same unit. LT Chad Clifton is trying to play through some injuries, but it’s just not working. He finally came out mid-game last week against Atlanta. He’s a great player, but I hope he’s benched until he’s better. They’ve been missing starting C Scott Wells, he’s been back the last couple games, and RB Ryan Grant’s been nursing a bad hamstring for a couple months. Losing starting FB Korey Hall for the last three games hasn’t helped either.
It’s the same guys, but the results are way down due in large part to injuries. But they did show some signs of life against Atlanta last week.

You wanna talk about injuries
which would you rather have, receivers or linemen? Wait we’ve been screwed on both this season. Yay!

How do you like Rodgers?
Do you think he’s a worthy successor to Favre?

He's Been Great
His QB rating his a healthy 95.5, but I see he’s getting no love from the Football Outsiders rankings. Maybe he’ll get more love from them if plays well against Chicago a couple times later this season.

Rodgers is, quite frankly, one of the best new starters in the league. He is carrying this offense because the running game can’t get anything done and the defense is allowing too much. Watch the game film of him; the guy has great fundamentals, moves the defense around, finds the open man, and generally makes good decisions. He’s only had two interceptions this year that were plain bad; the other two were either a result of a horrible drop or horrible pass protection resulting in a blindside hit.
And he’s playing with a rough injury. So, yeah, I’m a Rodgers fan.

As am I
You guys are going to be really happy with him down the road, me thinks. Hopefully we pick up someone soon so they can have that advantage of learning from Matt for a few years, as Aaron did from Brett; you can’t put a price on unpressured aided development, IMO.

Greg Jennings has put up some impressive numbers over the last season and a half.
Does his small size limit him in any way, or can he be a true game-changing number one wide receiver like Steve Smith? Is he physical?
by Phildopip on Oct 8, 2008 3:38 PM PDT 0 recs
I remember him getting physical with
Kelly Jennings in the divisional playoff game last year.

I could get physical with Kelly
You may gain some yards on the ground, but eventually Lofa will end up biting you in the ass.

He's Carrying The Offense
The running game is struggling, almost every other receiver is on pace for worst numbers than 2007, and Jennings is carrying the offense. His biggest strength is yards after the catch. That’s where he’s excelled the past two seasons.

Yeah, you guys have a gem in Jennings
Professor Jennings. I like it a lot. It will certainly catch on.

Here’s something to think about. Jennings has 569 yards so far this year. Through five games. Over 100 yards ahead of second place (Larry Fitzgerald). His average is just shy of 20 yards per catch.
He keeps going, Professor Jennings is going to become Dean Jennings. Or President Jennings. Or Lord Jennings.

What can you tell us about GB's O-line?
Our front four, while talented, couldn’t generate any kind of pressure last week. What matchups on the trenches do you see that favor either the Packers or Seahawks?

Pass Protection
Is better than the run blocking so far this season. Rodgers has been sacked 11 times, but 5 were against Dallas and those were mostly coverage sacks. They allowed a big sack at the end of the Tampa game to seal that loss, but the pass protection has overall been solid this season. I haven’t watched a single Giants game this season, but from what I’ve seen statistically, they are much better than the Packers line, so Seattle’s defensive line should look much better on Sunday.

I wouldn't count on that if this game was being
played at Lambeau. Luckily, for the seahawks, it’s not.

That makes me feel a bit better
We’re much more talented than what we’ve shown so far. Should be an entertaining game on Sunday.

The Giants have a very solid O-Line unit in terms of pass protection. They’re a bunch of “Who’s that?” guys, but they get the job done. Green Bay is still (!) trying to find the right combination of players to make the O-Line work. Chad Clifton, a longtime top-tier LT, is starting to decline, so maybe replacing him will settle things.
