Sam Bradford
Juaquin Iglesias
Duke Robinson

No Harrel?
You may gain some yards on the ground, but eventually Lofa will end up biting you in the ass.
really?
I love the guy. Not helping my case tonight though

I'm trying to get a read on Harrell's arm speed
The out route he just threw to Crabtree lacked the NFL “zip”.

I wonder if he's going to get the "system quarterback" tag.
There hasn’t been a Leach quarterback that succeeded in the NFL yet.

No Idea really
I like his size and throwing motion more then Brennan. But Colt could scramble.

The deflections aren't good though.
Don’t know if his arm slot is too low for someone that tall. But yes, the size is more prototypical.

Thoughts..
Harrel needs to stop standing there and get rid of the ball. You aren’t gonna get an hour to throw against the Sooners.
That said, I am really pulling for Texas Tech. I want Texas Tech and Alabama to both win out so that there will be an indisputable national champion. If Texas Tech loses then there will be a legitimate argument for Florida, USC, Penn St., Texas, Oklahoma, and even to a lesser extent Boise State and Utah to be in the title game. So obviously I want Alabama against Florida next week too.
Crabtree isn’t disappointing, I can’t wait for him to break a big one.
He continues to hold on to the ball for way too long. No countdown timer going on.

Not surprised at all this is already a blowout
I saw that first drive and thought Oklahoma was dominating the line of scrimmage. Tough to stop that.
That's what I don't know about Bradford
Is his success more dependent on having such an amazing offensive line? I mean he has so much time to throw the football each play.

That was very clearly
a Madden move. Stop, go, Pennzoil.

I really do not like Musberger any longer.
He makes all sorts of very hollow statements with profound emphasis. I used to like him quite a bit, but I think he’s lost his edge or something.
I miss Keith Jackson
Can't wait for Ruskell to knock this one out of the park.
Harrell doesn't do much of a job of looking off the secondary
In my opinion, the past couple of throws might have been picks in the NFL (but not against Russell… against a good safety).

Too little too late, unfortunately.

Now start getting stops. Don’t make me listen to those ESPN fools tell me why Ohio State should be ‘in the discussion’ too, along with twenty billion other teams.

Robinson has great quickness for his size
He’s really raw too. I think the right line coach could turn him into something special.
How much can you take away from a game like this?
Everyone on Oklahoma looks like a first round pick right now.
He fired through on that pull so quickly
that he had no one to block.

Well you can certainly not evaluate the running backs properly
as they are getting to the line at full speed and have been making it to the linebackers before they even have to make a read.

It breaks well for the BCS though
only two Big 12 teams were going to get into a major bowl, this makes their decision easy.
Everyone predicts BCS calamity every season...
and then things always work out pretty smooth in the end.
and further proof that transitivity doesn't apply in football

I was looking forward to some Newcastle Brown
but I’m still a little off after going out and drinking absurd amounts of liquor. Beer just doesn’t sound appealing right now

Oh I definitely love beer,
but when out… I like to maximize my alcohol per volume. Anyway, it’s not like I’m going to be enjoying a nice beer on Sunset. Miller Lite is painful.

For me it's that I like to enjoy the process of getting drunk.
Consuming liquor is not fun. Aside from a few rums, and jaeger, and maybe mixing whiskey, I can’t take most hard A. It’ll make me want to puke even if it’s my first drink

When Ohio State came to play Northwestern last year
one of our fans yelled “Hey Oden, how was the Civil War?”
Good stuff.
Can't wait for Ruskell to knock this one out of the park.
Funny how people think the same thing and think the opposite.
I see Oden and Bynum and think, man Oden looks old and broken down already, Bynum looks like he’s young and quick and could possibly get better.
He didn't impress me that much in college either
until the Florida game where he pretty much dominated Noah and Horford.
I only saw his first game, and his first game back from injury
and he looked slow (obviously since he’s cautious about his injuries). Bynum just looks explosive and agile compared to Oden. Though it’s not like Tim Duncan looks real explosive either.
Bynum is special
so it’s no slight to say Oden isn’t as agile. I’m more than happy to have Oden the dominant inside force.
That team is unfairly deep.
NBA teams are rarely that loaded with salary caps.

Off topic, but I'm playing Madden now, since I'm procrastinating,
and Darren Sproles is on my team. He is sick nasty. If he gets open field, he’s gone.
Ya, but EA didn't know that going in
he’s rated 79 or 80 and he tears it up.
Did you expect Chris Johnson to be this good? Him and Desean Jackson are doing their best to make me look really dumb.
Yeah, I really like Johnson
Incredible speed, but the kind of toughness to drive a pile. I just wasn’t thinking back much after the JJ and Duckett signing so I didn’t spend too much time researching them. I did know that I wasn’t crazy about Mendenhall and Stewart.
The guy I'm surprised at is Slaton
after watching him in college, I did not think he had what it takes to be a feature back. I’m still not convinced, but he is better between the tackles than I thought.
Can't wait for Ruskell to knock this one out of the park.
I know what you mean, my created player 'Chris Lanterman'

This reminds me of Hawaii/Georgia.
The difference being that I was pretty sure a real team would stomp Hawaii, while I didn’t think HOLY SHIT Crabtree is a freak. I’m not even finishing that thought, but I’m glad Crabtree still has a head.

The horse collar rule has to be the worst enforced rule in all of sports
The one goes uncalled while a ticky tack one in the apple cup gets called. I don’t get it.
There should be a "that looked really effed up" rule

Any bets on how dramatic Musberger is
on a TD call?
Can't wait for Ruskell to knock this one out of the park.
the answer is... no drama at all. You're right, he's asleep.
Nice catch.
Anyway, I really am out now. If I hear Boomer Sooner one more time, I’m going to start drinking bleach
Can't wait for Ruskell to knock this one out of the park.
People tell me this a lot
but I dont’ really like juice or soda, so I’m not sure I’ll like beer either.
Don't like juice or soda either
Don’t drink soda at all actually, but beer is craftsmen thing. Capable of being very, very good.
Well maybe I'll start trying some out this thanksgiving.
Any good Holiday beer (don’t say Sam Adams winter lager, that stuff is crap)
Sam Adams is garbage
and I’m from the East Coast. Try North Coast Red Seal. That’s some easy drinking shit. And tasty. Or Bond Street Wit. Or Stone Vertical Epic 08/08/08. I defy anyone to tell me that’s not tasty.

With a similar malt profile to its more famous cousin Scotch whisky, this smooth, strong beer is complex with a lingering hop finish.
From the Boundary Bay site.
I'm always wary of "smooth", "strong" and "drinkable"
Like, if you were to describe it, how would you?
Smooth and strong are a good if vague start
It’s a red, it’s pretty heavy. It’s been a while since I’ve had it. I remember the first time I ordered it I thought that a scotch beer sounded odd, but it made sense when I tasted it.
Mac is good
Seriously though, WC is blessed by Stone and North Coast. I called Stone looking for an advertisement. No go, they don’t advertise. But man if their beer isn’t advertisement enough. I’m crazy about anything Stone.
Do they only have huge bottles?
My dad always has some for me when I visit him, but I get about a third through before it gets flat and warm. I’m not man enough for Stone I guess.
Stone beers are a strange animal, I think.
I love to down them quick to get drunk, but generally they seem to be made more for enjoying with a meal. I’ve had them with meals and they are delicious, but honestly there’s nothing like starting a party by putting away a big-ass bottle of Ruination IPA in 15 minutes

Don't forget Deschutes
Black Butte Porter rules, I also really like Mirror Pond and if you can get your hands on The Abyss…
its the best beer ever
Hard to find, but its a good reason to go to Bellingham.
The Tap House has it, but the place kinda sucks.
Piecoras Pizza on cap hill had it last time I was there.
The Attic in Madison Park usually has it through winter, but didn’t the other day when I was there.
Its really about as close to perfect you can get.
well now you've sucked me back in
Hofbrau Hefeweizen. Without question.
Can't wait for Ruskell to knock this one out of the park.
Hofbrau Hef is crisp
and has more flavor than you usually get from a Hefe. Hofbrau Hefeweizen is to say Pyramid Hefeweizen what Bass is to pale ale. If you’ve ever had Bass, you know that it is miles different from normal pale ales
Can't wait for Ruskell to knock this one out of the park.
The only issue with Hofbrau is that
it is hard to track down. Usually you only find it at Hofbrauhaus locations. There was one in Wrigleyville, so we’d always stop in for a Hefe before going out. I found some in bottles in Boston over the summer, so I’m sure if you look hard enough you can find it
Can't wait for Ruskell to knock this one out of the park.
Late to the party, but I can't resist.
I can’t pick one, so I’ll just list some faves.
IPA-Ruination, Pliny the Elder, Double Bastard
Stout-Stone Russian Imperial, Old Rasputin, Samuels Smith Oatmeal
Other micros-Anderson Valley Winter Solstice, Kettlehouse Cold Smoke Scotch Ale (This might be the best beer I’ve ever had, but I’ve only had it once and it’s only available a few months a year in Missoula so I can’t really call it a favorite.)
Belgian-Troubadour Obscura, St. Bernardus Abt 12
German-Celebrator, Sacker-Pschorr Weisse

instead of throwing the wrong amount of money at the wrong players. This bodes well down the stretch, although I do wish the M’s had been able to pull in Dayan Viciedo.
Can't wait for Ruskell to knock this one out of the park.
I think fans get impatient with the "right decisions"
they want the bold decisions that work out because of luck.
The very nice thing about the explosion of quality blogs
is that there is a place for people with brains to band together to appreciate the good moves. USSM and LL are tremendous for people like me who were devastated by the Bedard trade. The Steve Phillps’ of the world can go on ignoring the truth, but teams would be better off if run by basement dwelling jerks like Dave Cameron and some punk named John Morgan than the old guard who are getting fleeced by said jerks, forcing their teams to dwell in the basement.

Oh and finding a slugger who can play decent defense at the three easiest positions to find one (1b, lf, and DH) would be nice as well.

Our superbowl team had over a 60% chance of making the superbowl. Homefield throughout. We weren’t losing to the Redskins no matter what, they were awful.
I didn’t see us losing to the Panthers either, especially without a RB.
God I hated that. 100 players on two teams
and all they could talk about was one player that was at the end of his career being from the place where the superbowl was. Worst story line ever. The media is so damn dumb most of the time. That’s why blogs are so popular, because they cover stuff people actually want to hear.
Figure we are approaching WWIII
Detroit would be a good target. Lots of partisans. (Not an endorsement of nuking Detroit. May cause erectile disfunction)
I figure 1 out of 27.
They were on the road 3 straight. Against the 1,2, and 3 seeds. so 1/3*1/3*1/3.
Same.
Not sure how they’re undefeated. They’re definitely a good team, but not undefeated good. Offense seems to just have a good line and 2 good RBs. Defense doesn’t seem to have a weak link, but the only guys I know are Haynesworth and Finnegan (who is awsome, him and that Osmogh guy came out of nowhere?).
