With Raul Ibanez gone

the Seattle sports scene needs a source of priceless, hilarious gifs.

Thanks, Brian Russell.

How do you make the .gifs?

Seems like something that would be fun to play around with

After I get the video

I use Total Media Converter to cut the clip out from the rest of the game and encode it in MPEG2. From there I use VirtualDub to crop the video and export it as an animated gif.

You have to pay for Total Media Converter

but you could use something like Media Coder 8 as a freeware alternative. It’s not as precise with the cutting as I would like, though.

Nice job.

Those whiffs are just plain shameful.

PS: Safari hates your gifs for some reason.

OK, new plan.

While we all have differing opinions on how good the Hawks may or may not be in the next couple of years, its obvious that we will not be a sure-fire Super Bowl team in the near future. Therefore, I nominate that we sign Brian Russell to a 5-year extension at $15 million a year. Because even if our team is terrible, we’ll always have somebody something to laugh at about. And at $15 million a year, he’ll be that much easier to make fun of.

He is sooooo slow

He used to merely be late on plays, now he’s lucky to even make it into the camera angle. Many linebackers are much faster. Oh well………Spring Training isn’t far off.

While watching the game from Sunday

I’ve really began to notice how many plays this dude comes flying in on late, hitting people who are already down. I’m really surprised that he doesn’t get flagged more.
