I know a lot of people want to discuss this, so here's a post to do it in. I'm totally against Seattle signing Alge Crumpler who's well past his prime and experienced an across the board drop in production last season. That, a foot injury and symbolic support of Michael Vick make me think it's very unlikely Crumpler is headed to Seattle. Let Algernon's abilities dwindle away in another lab.

Agreed.

Overall this is a pretty crappy free agency tight end group.

I would rather have Fred Davis, John Carlson, Martellus Bennett, Martin Rucker, Jermichael Finley than any of the free agents.

I wouldn't mind signing a mid tier veteran like say Eric Johnson or Billy Miller to add to a group which includes a 1-3 round draft pick.

I agree as well

I'm sure his decline isn't strictly due to skill loss, considering his team situation last year. But I just mainly don't think that spending the money on him is worth it for our teams outlook in the next couple years.

Let's go.
