Chad Johnson to Seahawks?

Yeah, I know its just wishful thinking and that Holmgren would never pull the trigger on this one. Even so, if any coach could provide the discipline to reign in a troublemaker like Ocho Cinco, it would be Holmgren.

Absolutely
I don't know what the dude above us is talking about. Sure he has a huge mouth, sure he is ridiculous, these are things I am not a big fan of. However, he is not a trouble maker and an exceptional receiver. The man has not missed a game in the last 6 years, has recorded over 1100 yards in each of the last 6 seasons has shown no signs of slowing down, and is motivated as hell to win. He wants out of the Queen City because he wants to go to the SB. I imagine barring some freak injury he has 3-4 more exceptional years left.

I remember seeing Johnson...
We won't get into this, I recognize anxiety. I think Chad Johnson might suffer from some sort of anxiety disorder. All the over-the-top showboating might be a form of compensation. This whole saga started when Marvin Lewis became critical of Johnson late last season. The famous "He would have sat me" quote. Johnson seems to think when a coach disciplines or criticizes him, that coach is betraying him and that that criticism is like a stab in the back.
I don't know the man, but would wager that unless he undergoes some kind of treatment and buys into that treatment, he's going to be a disruption (minimum) to any team he joins.

hmmm...
anyways, a lot of things would have to happen for this deal to happen, and i'm interested in seeing what kind of deal we can pony up for CJ.

Good point I think you are right..
A guy like Holmgren who speaks his mind about his players would probably not work out well with Mr. Ocho Cinco.

No way
I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole, it goes against everything this team is about fiscally or attitude wise.

I agree.
But you never know. I still think it's more likely he'll end up somewhere else.

Chad Johnson wouldn’t even fit in the west coast style offense because he is much more of a vertical player that goes for the long bomb and west coast offense is about timing and short passes.

Yes please
Shaun Alexander, Rocky Bernard, and a 3rd round pick for Chad Johnson!
Make the deal!

Ironically
The Bengals are one of very few teams who would actually have a use for Shaun, but of course we would have to give up a lot more than that to get him.
Still I don’t see it happening, Cinci stands to lose a lot if they trade him.
