I find this announcement pretty funny.

I was completely screwed in Fantasy Football last year by Travis Henry. Heres how it went.

I was unlucky and got the last pick in the draft. It was a 12 person league so my best picks were #12 and #13 overall. I used these on Travis Henry and Reggie Bush. I was hoping Bush would be a rushing/receiving/td combined machine, but obviously he wasn’t. Henry was going to be the #1 back for Denver, a team that had generally always ran well.

(my 3rd rounder was Tom Brady so that mitigated the effect of getting screwed by my top 2 picks)

Henry had the positive test for weed a few weeks into the season. Someone else in my league picked up Selvin Young, Henry’s backup, expressly to blackmail me. This is one of the things about fantasy that really annoys me. Signing free agents should not be completely first come first serve. This is because a lot of times a RB or QB gets hurt in the middle of a game and whoever gets to their computer first gets to pick up the backup. When the injury report becomes available, if the starter will be out then that backup generally represents a very good pickup. I hate this because I am at a disadvantage if I don’t sit by my computer every second that a football game is on. The FA system should work like the Waiver system IMO.

Anyhow, back to Henry… Someone traded me Selvin Young for one of my receivers. Since the verdict on Henry didn’t come out all season I had to waste a roster spot on Young all year. Denver waited til the absolute last minute to announce whether Henry/Young was injured too, also very annoying.
