If You Had to Cut Somebody
Ruskell is making YOU the person in charge of releasing 3 Seahawks of your choice, regardless of their contractual agreements. Don't know why, but this is fiction. This is before training camp even starts, you get to cut 3 Seahawks players who were on last year's team (that means no cutting that kicker we drafted okay?), are still officially a part of this year's team, based on their recent game by game performances.
Note: Deion Branch cannot be cut because well.....you can't cut someone who is on the injured list.
The city is on it's toes, waiting for your decision. Who gets sent packing?
I choose Babs, Russell, and Porkchop. Is it that obvious I need to explain it to you?

Mike Green, David Kirtman and Chris Cooper (or Larry Triplett)
I just don’t see playing time for any of these guys and they could take time away from more deserving player. I think Adams (the safety from Michigan) beats out Green. Schmitt beats out Kirtman. Red Bryant and a healthy Marcus Tubbs beats out Cooper and/or Triplett.

I had no idea
Chris Cooper and Triplett were on last year’s team.
I asked someone to identify which was a pile of garbage and which was the shooting of the Seattle Sonics....he failed.

Floyd Womack, Chris Cooper, David Kirtman
- Kirtman is the odd man out (not Duckett, like everybody likes to think).
- Cooper is overrated. The Cardinals are desperate for D-Line play… let’s get real here folks :)
- Womack is a waste of space, and a marginal player at that. There has to be someone out there who is as average as Womack (Kyle Williams?)... sign’em.

I'm with SS
in cutting Russell; the whole point in such a pre-emptive cut would be to get rid of someone who’ll otherwise be in a major role and shouldn’t be. That’s why I see absolutely no point in cutting Kirtman and Cooper, who provide necessary injury depth and otherwise are no threat to better players on the roster. I also agree with him and kidder95 on Pork Chop—one should never have a player around to provide injury depth who is himself a significant injury risk. There’s not much worse than having an emergency fill-in you can’t count on.
And for the third, I’d cut Jose Vidro. I don’t care that he’s not a Seahawk, I’d cut him anyway. Nobody deserves it more.

how about..
Matt Hasselbeck
Walter Jones
....
And then I figured i would stick in the 3rd most valuable Seahawk but I think this is a tough call. Theres about six guys on defense that could fit the bill (lofa, kerney, marcus, etc.)
Let the rebuilding begin!
