Around SBN: Stories from Blazersedge Night Bar-right-arrows

Hawk fans, stubhub users, and beer enthusiasts...lend me your ears.

Let me tell a tale of one man, one fan of Seattle's Best...team and coffee...but one came long before the other, in a land far away, I tell my long story of Seahawk fandom in Los Angeles,

.

I'm going to my first live game at Quest, or Qwest, (the Q?) next month, choosing, of course, the Sea Town beat down of the worst organization in football. The Rams.

And I plan to buy tickets on STUBHUB....most likely, but I'm looking for a FanCode for Seahawks games.

I'm also hoping to get bar and brewery recommendations from the good IPA and Hefe drinkers of Seattle.

The Stone Beer Garden of Eden has the best brew in this earthquake prone desert I call home. Looking to visit Pyramid, Elysian Fields, among others I looked up.

The Raiders are similar in badness, but unlike St. Louis' church ladies, their fans are at least passionate, albeit a little myopic, as Rome used to say. These losers were once my backyard squads here in So Cal.

I adopted Seattle as my team in 95 when they left.

That's right, I had the Chris Warren pocket schedule in 96...no one I knew liked them, no playoff teams in years, but in the Largent days I dug the uni on the Score football cards... the ones that went pink in Tecmo Bowl. That's not the way to get over.

And then came the era of shitty QB's picked early. I remember in 92 Seattle beat NE for pride, but losing the chance to pick Bledsoe for Mirer. If only Seattle would have lost, and been the worst team in the league! There's no shame in playing your 3rd string guys in a game like that.

The D has always been decent. Chad Brown was a great pickup in the era of Game Day 98 for Playstation.  Moon and Kitna picked our game up at QB, and now Beck going for legendary status.

This saved us from Ryan Leaf, Joey Harrington, Alex Smith...possibly all 3...it could have happened to San Diego, if not for Brees to replace Doug Flutie. His blowing the Raider game with a late INT, and having to deal with victorious Raider fans, was the last NFL game I attended. 7 years without an NFL experience.

The team I watched lose to Miami in 99 sitting in Eugene, OR, ruining my plan to visit the Kingdome the next week. Then I had to watch my two most hated teams in the Super Bowl, Rams and Oilers...they changed their name? I didn't notice.

At least the Raiders won one year in LA!

Bo and Marcus, what could have been....

Al Davis is so bad, he should have married the now dead Frontiere. I have to admit I don't wish ill on the dead. On the other hand, while alive, she

-stole the Rams from her husband's son,

-moved to OC, where they died a 'orrible death, if I remember correctly, with the old Seattle coach Chuck Knox.

-took Jerome Bettis and the other guys I barely remember, Flipper Anderson! there's one.....the name, colors, everything Cleveland got to keep.

Ironically, now Seattle's NBA team too. In my opinion, I'd like to see the SuperSonics out of the Grizzlies, Hornets, even the LA Clippers. Take the Clippers, please. Fuck David Stern. I did like him until he let this happen.

Even if he reminds me of Joe Lieberman...who, like Stern has to deal with crooked referees, deals with crooked Senators and makes excuses for funny calls.

As we know, Seattle has been awesomely consistent the last 5-6 years.

SF beat us twice in 06, but we got it back last year. I'm convinced Arizona will always suck. StL made for a very painful 04, but 3 years of revenge is sweet. Winning on the road is the trick, and I don't expect to see any respect by the traditional media until they do, but the home crowd is one I'll be proud to be a part of.

And Beck is proving my friend wrong when he said after the "coinflip game" with Green Bay in 03, that his career was over and he'd never recover. He was a late rounder just like Tom Brady, my twin, as I really do lookalike him. I think he fell short, however, on his Family Guy appearance.

No Just

some good ales!!! Does there need to be anything else? I will be in Newport and touring Rouge Ales in the very near future. Any local mico brewery is always a good stop when visiting a city. Portland has some of the best in the world and has been called the Mico Brew capital of the world. One good thing about living in this area!!!

Walter Jones, you were the greatest, most dominant player I've ever seen at any position. It's been an honor to be your fan.
