Veteran Reciever Worth a Try?
The youngsters are showing goods signs and Branch's return is looking closer and closer to week 1 every day, but what do you guys think of picking up Joe Horn? If he is still productive at this point in his career he seems to be a better addition than any other veteran WRs on the market. His character could possibly keep the Hawks away and our WR situation doesn't appear as dire as it did a week ago but I would still like to see another veteran on the squad if the young guys do not perform well. This could also allow another year on the practice squad for a player like Logan Payne. Thoughts?

Ugh, I hate Joe Horn.
I hope the Seahawks don’t look at him.

I agree, I don't want him...
But apparently his agent has contacted our team about him…

Horn's agent has contacted every team in the NFL minus the Falcons and Saints.
He wants to play down south and would jump at a chance to play for the Dolphins.

I'd hate it
He’s not good enough to justify not giving reps to a younger receiver that needs experience. I think we’re all a bit more comfortable with the talent we have at wideout after two pre-season games, Horn’s a desperation move and we shouldn’t be desperate.

what talent?
i haven’t seen obamanu or taylor produce any numbers yet and jordan kent is still very raw.
call me pessimistic, but we can’t rely on these players when they haven’t accomplished anything yet. if we can get a 1-yr contract with horn (which should be pretty cheap) i’d say go for it.

There's plenty of talent
Granted, they haven’t done anything yet, but that’s because they haven’t had the opportunities. Horn did less than nothing for Atlanta last year, and they were more than happy to be rid of him. Atlanta aren’t exactly blessed with receiving talent, so what does that tell you about the level Horn is at right now? I’d rather take a long look at the youth we already have as opposed to wheeling in a has-been for a year.

I agree ciarannh
The situation does look much better, but how does the front office see it? And, seeing as Horn is a former Falcon….lol

Come on dude!
Don’t tase me, dude!
I would love Boldin sooooo much. Just getting him off of the Cardinals would make me feel good, getting him on the Hawks would be wicked.
Maybe we can trade the Cardinals Jarrod Washburn for Boldin?

god
boldin would be delicious, but they wouldn’t trade him in division. especially to the team that they’re trying to catch.
