First Half Cap
Usually done by John, but…..
- Seattle has done this for several years. They consistently get off to a fast start and then just fade. The last complete game I’ve seen from them was against Arizona last season. The running game is slipping and frankly Ray Willis is doing nothing for me.
- That throw just now to Logan Payne was not Payne’s fault. It was an underthrown ball as it looked like it was a seam route, and Payne was left hung out to dry with that throw.
- All of this hating on Burleson has to stop. Doesn’t drop passes, is strong after the catch, I think he is our new #1 until Engram is back.
- Darren Sproles is a very good running back. His leg drive is strong, but gosh why can’t we tackle him? That has to be the case of being a small defensive unit.
- Forsett…..I dunno what to think, he’s been terrible on returns. Hopefully he’ll run well in the 2nd half. Julius Jones is running with a purpose. MoMo is running with a purpose. TJ Duckett fumbles with a purpose. Shaun Alexander does nothing. This running game has vastly improved, and the left side with Wahle and Jones may not be like the days of Hutch and Jones, but it’s the next best thing. The toss sweeps to the outside need speed, and MoMo and Jones bring that.
- Trufant is having a lousy preseason, and there are too many dropped interceptions. There has been no pressure on Rivers and that’s a bit of a concern, seeing as no one got touched when the ’Hawks were on the road.
- Charlie Frye had a good start, but that’s it. He’s gone back to being the Frye of old.
- Mare……you’re useless kicking wise.
Good first half, exciting game, mow stop throwing wide Charlie Frye.
