Seneca to play more WR?

A little note that was in a AP "Lofa Ok" article. This could mean that the Hawks are going to start the season with Just 4 healthy WR's.

The Seahawks don’t want to risk Wallace to injury in the final preseason game. They are trying to get him to play receiver more this season, provided Frye is fully healthy next month.

Wallace caught two passes during the 2007 regular season and one each in the playoffs at the end of the ‘05 and ‘06 seasons. He believes his receiving and maybe even kick returning roles will be increasing because Frye has proven capable of running the offense while playing almost all of the past two exhibition games.

“I’m excited about it,” said Wallace, Hasselbeck’s understudy for four seasons.

Has anyone heard anything about Seneca practicing more at WR this training camp? Maybe they do finally feel confident with Frye as a backup. Could be good news for Forsett though if true.

If the health issues allow for this to happen, fantastic.

It could be a creative way to solve our WR depth issues until Engram or Branch return.

It's possible

They might be leaning that way for a number of reasons:
1) They have more confidence in Frye
2) They have fewer options at WR & KR
3) Wallace is a free agent after this year & could leave anyway, leaving Frye as the backup (if I’m correct on the contract) so why not use Seneca while they can?

wallace...play wide receiver???

GET RIGHT OUT OF TOWN!!!! NO FRICKIN WAY!!!!!

jokes aside, i’ve heard that he’s gotten even less snaps at WR this camp, so i don’t know. but ya, if it happens it’d be pretty cool.

Walter Jones, you were the greatest, most dominant player I've ever seen at any position. It's been an honor to be your fan.
