Around SBN: The 2009-2010 Card Chronicle Big East basketball preview

I Hate You TicketMaster

Full Price Adult US $47.00 x 1
Total Convenience Charge(s)

US $7.45 x 1

Additional Taxes US $0.67
Order Processing Charge(s) US $4.20
Retail Location Pickup

US $1.00

Total raping: $13.32, which amounts to a 28% markup. It probably wouldn't bother me so much if they didn't call the fees such candyass names like convenience fee or order processing charge? Really? Like it takes any effort for your servers to process my order? Just call it profit fee: $12 and I wouldn't bat an eye.

On the other hand: PATS!! Wooooooo

Also nabbed Eagles and Niners. Everyone else?

A place to bury strangers.

I nabbed the 9ers, Cards, Jets and Eagles. So stoked! The most games ive ever been able to go to in previous seasons: 1…

But yea TM is a total scam. But thats still cheaper than stubhub which was my fallback plan so Im happy.

Bringin' the outside heat.

Going to the Packers and Pats

I wanted to see the Rams and Eagles, but after the price of the first two tickets, I had to stop.

So do you get to bypass ticketmaster fees with season tickets?

Cause if you do, My 5 tickets cost 75 dollars less than a full 10 game package

So tickets to the Raiders preseason game are around 11 dollars

And guess he would be taking the majority of the snaps for that one….

I remember the days when I used to get season tickets

for the 6th row on the 50 yard line for $35 bucks each game. That was back in 1995 though when the stadium wasn’t as nice.

28%? you gotta bargain.

i bought a $20 bleacher seat to a baseball game yesterday and ended up paying $29.25 through the cardinals online ticketing, a 46% markup. i was charged $1.75 just for the right to “print my tickets at home”

Looks like they're all sold out already

Hopefully I can find a decent deal on Stub Hub for the Rams game.

Season Tickets, bitches!

And yes, I thoroughly enjoy not having to put up with Ticketmaster’s crap. I’m duly impressed though at how many games a few of you were able to snag. Nice work.

We're mad.

We have had a major pain in the ass getting our season tickets straightened out this year. They had to reprint ours because of a printing error, which delayed the tickets’ arrival to us until after we were supposed to go on vacation.

The Seahawks ticket office has been dismissive and unhelpful. This has never been the case with them before. We finally got Fed Ex to help us out with the delivery options.

It seems like every year we’re having more of a problem getting our season tickets that we’ve held for 3 years. I don’t get it.

I’ll feel better about it in September.

You haven't gotten them either?

Annoying as hell, to say the least.

Nope.

They are now scheduled to be delivered here on August 8th, but we can’t be there. Thankfully Fed Ex called us immediately after I spoke to their customer service rep and offered to deliver our tickets on the spot when we asked for them.

We’ve had problems before. We almost lost season tickets that we had paid for a couple of years ago because our sales rep at the Seahawks office switched, and our account was temporarily lost in the transition.

This year it was a misprint on the tickets (I don’t know what), so everybody had to wait until it was corrected at the printing plant, which is located in that great Pacific Northwest city of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

You know, an apology from the Seahawks ticket office would have been nice. But I guess it’s the Goodell Era of customer relations now.

I get to go to one game a year because I can never buy tickets.

Thankfully my younger cousin is deaf and fluent in ASL. He gets to sign the National Anthem, I get to stand on the field for it, then I get to go sit up in the upper-deck to watch the game.

I love taking advantage of the disabled.

Odd...

I got mine delivered on July 31st. No hassles.

Season tixx are the way to go, even if you only go to half of the games… Just be sure to maintain a large network for friends who are really into football.

Tell me about it

The Jets were my back-up game, if I couldn’t get tickets to see the Seahawks play a real team. If only I had known that I’d get to see them knock around Favre, I would have bought tickets to this over Green Bay.
