New Blog: Backing the Pack for NC State Fans!

Portland Seahawkers

What's up, everyone! I am new to the Field Gulls blog, but I have been a reader of Blazers Edge for a long time now. I am a Portland resident, and lifetime Oregonian. Season ticket holder for both the Seahawks and Blazers.

I was wondering... How many Portlanders/Oregonians are out there on this Seahawks blog? How many of you are season ticket holders? How many of you make the all-day roundtrip from Portland to Seattle and back 8-plus times per year?

As for myself... I only get to about half the games... Last year I made three regular season games and the playoff game. My tixx don't go to waste, tough, as I have plenty of friends in Portland and Seattle who I share my tixx with.

It's always fun to see how many football fans head north on I-5 from Portland on Sunday mornings. It's like a big caravan at times... There are usually four in our car. We're always honking and giving a thumbs up to other Hawks fans we pass on the road. We usually stop at Hooters in Tacoma for a quick bite and catch the first half of the morning games on the TV's there. Always a good time.

Welcome. I am also new to the site but a big HAWKS fan!!! I get to at least 1/3 of the games as my brother up north has season tickets. I will be at the home opener against the 49ers. The wife and I drive as far as Kent and then ride the bus. Only 6.00 per person RT. Much cheaper and faster.

I have thought about riding Amtrak up and back so I can get stupid drunk on the way back and not have to worry about driving. Might be cheaper than driving at todays gas prices.

Portland Seahawkers

I’m a long time Portland resident and long time Seahawks fan. My brother and my father-in-law and I took a trip to on Amtrak in 2006 to see the home opener against the Atlanta Falcons. Nose bleed seats for sure, and going to get that second beer the return trip to our seats was like climbing Machu Piccu but nonetheless it was fantastic. I think Tatupu even got a sack against the criminal Vick.

Great to see more folks reading,

helping john think that he needs to keep up with demand is great for my addiction. BTW if you or anyone else were looking to sell some tickets to basically any of the home games this year please let me know. You can reach me steve_qaz@hotmail.com. I’d be happy to do buisiness with you as I have YET to go to a pro football game in my whole life and i feel that this year will really be a special one for my beloved hawks.

Why? Because the Seahawks rock my socks.

I live in Vancouver, WA.

I usually get to one or two Seahawks games per year.

I reject your reality and substitute my own!

Also, I'm always down for some online Grand Theft Auto IV or Rock Band. Gamertag: Phildopip

Portland Seahawk fan since 1976

Pretty much seen every game played via television ever since Jim Zorn to Steve Largent against the Cardinals season 1. Go Hawks!

Huzzah for Portland!

Though I might be moving to Seattle for the next year to work on a degree for a bit. But my heart belongs in PDX. But also with the Hawks.

Longtime Blazers fan living in Seattle

Kinda the opposite of the question you asked, but I used to live in Portland and now live in Seattle, and I was a Blazers fan long before they became the only team in the PNW. I get down to Portland every few months these days.

Portlander here.

Big Hawks fan, though seeing as I’m young and in school I don’t really have the money for tickets or time for commutes.

Just out of curiosity, and excuse me if it’s too soon to ask, but is there any buzz in Seattle about the Portland Trail Blazers? Will there be a similar situation with people travelling to see games in Portland? It would be an interesting relationship to me.
