End of an era

i'd like to see what the niners, or any team, looks like after losing 6 WRs. hasselback had an amazing game, considering. one interception was wholly on his wideout, the other was a deflection and mostly luck after that. the fact that he could manage to stay in the game with so few tools is pretty impressive. the TD interception doesn't happen with an experienced WR, and SF doesn't rally. i'm sorry guys, but after the week 4 bye, the seahawks will show their true colors, and destroy the west pretty handily. i mean, if SF has to go into overtime to beat us when we're missing our starting Center, Guard, Running back, 1st string WR, 2nd String WR, 3rd String WR, 4th String WR, 6th String WR, Backup QB/7th String WR... don't you think that's more of a testament to SF's fallability? your only hope is that we DON'T return to full health...

Yes.
Yahoo sports is awful. Why do you care about the things their “analysts” have to say?

I appreciated it Chris
it’s well put, Brian, stop being an asshole and just say, softly, that you dont find Yahoo to be a credible resource. No need to be a dick.

Maybe I just know BrianL to well
But I don’t think he was being a asshole
You may gain some yards on the ground, but eventually Lofa will end up biting you in the ass.

Respectfully
I don’t think that something like this is fanpost worthy, especially after that ultimatum we got from John to kill the pointless negativity around here. If we absolutely must post it, I feel it would be better off in the fanshots.

If anything that comment was a good burn,
if you read any of the other “comments”

No offense man, but it's best to ignore these kind
of comment threads. The ignorance inside is painful.

They make Baker's blog look like the USSM.

Even the yessir ones.

What a joke!
I don’t even think its the end of the Season! In all reality it was a tough loss on Sunday and like the rest of us I left Qwest field with my head hanging low and yelling at my girlfiend for no good reason. My spirits were low.
But in all reality we will get the easy win next week against the rams, leaving us 1 and 2. We take the bye week to find a new free safety and get our receiving core back on its feet and possibly, see the return of MoMo.
During this time SF will be 2-2 with another loss coming in week five (they beat detroit and lose to the Saints and Pats) Then they lose to the Eagles and the Giants before facing a new Seahawks team!
Arizona will go 1 and 1 in the next two weeks, puting us 1 game back, however, they will then go 0 for 2 against the Bills and the Cowboys before we take our bye.
The way I see it…..It is the end of week 2. We have 14 to rebuild.
LETS GO HAWKS!!!!

Steve Kelley is a hack.
That is all. Carry on.

Steve Kelley has and always will be a hack.
by BrianL on Sep 16, 2008 7:40 AM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
Please
just some consistency. If we are all going to be kumbya about the ’hawks, can we please stop being negative towards others.
This has become a classic contradiction blog. No negativity, unless, of course, we don’t agree with you… then rip away.
It is what it is...

Kelley is a hack for the Mariners as well
He is just a terrible sports writer. Has nothing to do with Negativity.

Honestly as much as Geoff Baker makes me want to rip my hair out
he and Art Thiel are the only local coverage guys who can legitimately say aren’t PR extensions of the organizations they cover.

What are you talking about man?
They’re negativity is focused toward Steve Kelley, which is entirely justified.

If you don't agree with something and think it's stupid...
don’t link to it.
Linking to garbage only supports it. Consider this the last “this is crap: link” post allowed on this site.

But isn't this post about hope
and not a link to something chris doesn’t believe to be true?

No it really isn't.
It’s a dreary piece written by Steve Kelley that in typical Kelley fashion makes me want to claw my eyes out with a factually incorrect comment that adds nothing. This post has no redemptive value. It’s basically, look this is dumb and some guy said this.

it was about the comment under the link
relating to the story making a good burn…

I must agree with Chris,
As much as I usually follow your coat tails John.
Though Chris might have written a bit himself to better explain what was going on, I think mainly he was echoing the words of a commenter because he felt the ideas were congruent with his own and thought it’d be of benefit to the rest of us to see an elaboration on the current situation from an optimistic standpoint.

This is fanshot worthy at best
and that’s being generous. Links like these really don’t belong in the fanpost section.
