What to do w/ B. Russell? How's QB sound?

From this link in the Times, Brian Russell is taking reps preparing to be the 3rd string quarterback for this weekend...  He was a QB in college thru his Junior year...

Yeah, that's the ticket!  We replace him at Safety so he can get some reps with the offense!  It's not a benching, see?  It's an OPPORTUNITY!   Plus he can work out with our two kickers on our double-secret-dual-kicker trick plays.

A place to bury strangers.

This has potential of being hilarious

Maybe Russell would get hurt

You may gain some yards on the ground, but eventually Lofa will end up biting you in the ass.

BrianF AND BrianL?

chaos!

so is Russell going to be inactive? Or just popping in should Hasselbeck and Frye get hurt?

I would love it

If they accidently made him inactive.

He'd be so valuable as a third QB

that they’d be crazy not to make him inactive and the third QB. They wouldn’t open themselves up to that huge risk would they?

I'm afraid some wont follow the link, I have to
Seattle Times: 2/2/09:
TAMPA–Brian Russell today was named MVP of Super Bowl XLIII after perhaps the greatest individual season in football history. The Seahawks starting strong safety added starting quarterback to his duties in the season’s third week, when malfunctioning radio helmets electrocuted both Matt Hasselbeck and Charlie Frye. As a QB, Russell passed for 2,500 regular season yards, and 450 here in the Seahawks 44-7 Super Bowl win, including two touchdown passes each to Keary Colbert and Billy McMullen. He also had 17 tackles and 3 interceptions.

"I’m just trying to do my part to help this team win," Russell said after the game. "This is the best group of teammates I’ve ever been around."

Russell started the scoring with a 75-yard pass to Michael Bumpus. The play started innocently enough as a simple slant route.

"Brian led me perfectly, and somehow got downfield to give me a block. That guy’s motor never quits."

The Seahawks never looked back, allowing only a late, 85-yard touchdown run by Justin Forsett.

This post is the most epic win I’ve ever seen in sportsdom.

Thank you John. Give me an address and I promise you’ll get a Christmas card this year, between finding this and the site, you’ve got a special place in my heart.

I'm surprised nobody has made

a safety making a safety connection yet.
