Olindo Mare Named Starting Kicker
Olindo Mare has officially won the starting kicking job in week one. This is good news and hopefully an indication that Seattle properly values kickoff distance. So why then is Brandon Coutu still on the official 53? Does Seattle really think the market for kickers will be weaker after week 1? I, for one, won't be confident this competition is over until only one kicker remains on Seattle's roster.

oh so happy
no one thing drove me more nuts watching Hawk games than seeing every single kickoff returned to the 35 yard line.
maybe they're hoping a kicker gets injured week 1
pretty unlikely, but this at leaves the chance open that they can pull off a trade, for (say) a 2009 6th or 7th round. If no one bites, then they pass Coutu to the PS. Then if someone grabs him off waivers then they call it a day and keep Mare for the season.
Good.

What's with all the updates on Buffalo?
Am I missing something here?
I'm back to liking midgets too much.
I know that, but it almost seems like a fantasy report on Buffalo or something.
I’m cranky today, you should probably ignore me.

SBN sites do a five questions thing...
and I hate it to pieces. This is an attempt to take the same basic information and make it a little fresher.
there is some good commentary going on on the bills site
really fair readers
Why? Because the Seahawks rock my socks.
