As soon as the draft is over, I immediately start thinking about what is coming next for the Seahawks, and for next year, we have a lot of change coming. Your insight into the Hawks has been a blessing to read, so I'm just curious of what you think next year might hold.
With Mora taking over as head coach, how will the offense change? I never followed the Falcons, so I'm not sure of the impact there. They also didn't have a traditional qb in Michael Vick, so it's hard to judge that team's offense against ours. With Holmgren's departure, what are the chances that John Marshall will be staying around? Will we finally be free of him? De Haven is likely finished regardless of who the coach is next season, but who do you see taking over for these guys?
Is Ray Willis our next RG? He has been pretty good filling in for Locklear, and with Sims' spotty play, it seems like Willis could be auditioning for the starting RG spot for the rest of the year and into next year.
Everyone seems to have the same opinion of Brian Russell. Is he benched this year if his play stays the same? What are the chances of a new FS for next year? Along the same lines, Rocky and Hill are both in their contract years. With Hawthorne emerging, do you think Hill will leave in free agency? Who do you think will be key departures after this season?
Ruskell has done a pretty good job of getting talent on tihe defensive side of the ball, but will we finally see some draft picks or free agent pickups for the offense? Engram is likely gone after this season, as is Morris. How long will Big Walt play? I personally thought it was foolish of Ruskell to pass on so much college talent when this latest draft was so QB-deep.
I know this is a lot...but I'm at work and bored.
