Unable to DVR game - Any other way?

I'm going to have to work on Sunday for the first three weeks of the season and I don't have cable or (obviously) a DVR. I know there's a bar in town that shows all the games so that's my plan once my Sundays free up but until then I was hoping anyone could offer my any help. Not looking for someone to DVR a game and send it to me, just point me to somewhere online I could download a bittorrent maybe.

And if this isn't an appropriate place to ask for something like that let me know and I'll pull it or John can pull it. Thanks!

I'm in a similar situation..

I leave for Hawaii on Monday the 8th (thank god I won’t miss the opener) and I don’t get back until the 14th, which is a Sunday but I’ll literally be flying over the pacific at kickoff.. I have DVR, but the programming on Comcast isn’t updated that far in advance so I can’t set it to record the game before I leave.. Anyone been in a similar situation? Any advice?

You can manually program it to record during that time frame and channel

I looked into that...

I came across TYT a while back but it didn’t appear to be updated. Last update on the blog itself was late June. Just noticed the forums though and they appear to still be up and running. Can’t get to the leech site from work, have they been posting pre-season games as well? Just want to test it out first.

Seemed like they had every NFL preseason matchup covered

Plus College and even some high school games. Not to mention every game from last season and various football related shows. It really is a fully stocked torrent site.

Did you sign up for an account? It looks pretty dead on the outside until you log in.

and I can’t get to it from work thanks to web blocks. I’ll check out the forums and leech site more thoroughly tonight. But when I type in Ten Yard Torrents into google, the first site up is tenyardtorrents.com and is just a WordPress site that doesn’t have any substantial content. Thanks for kicking me in the butt to take a second look, I have to admit that my initial reaction to a TYT suggestion was to give up.

UL/DL ratios?

How quickly do they crack down if your ratio isn’t high enough? Should I be downloading and seeding some popular preseason games now so as to build some UL points before the season starts?

Haven’t noticed any banhammers or anything. Just be an internet gentleman and seed what you download. Should be enough.

Get wealthier friends. I don’t really want to pay $60+ a month for cable either when all I watch is Saturday/Sunday/Monday football. Ah, when will they come out with a true football lovers cable package…
