I'd love to hear your take on what the Bills have in Fred Jackson.
Think Maurice Morris, just not as athletic. Seriously, people knock Buffalo for their "lack of running back depth", but Jackson is a good football player. Like Morris, he probably isn't capable of handling a full rushing load. He is, however, an excellent receiver, and the Bills have taken advantage of that by lining him up in the slot on occasion. He's a good slashing runner that's tough to bring down, but his top-end speed isn't elite, so he's not a home run threat. He's been on the job for less than a year, but his potential is along the lines of Kevin Faulk - one of those backs that doesn't do one thing that stands out, but does everything well. He's a chain-mover, and his style meshes well with the gritty style of Marshawn Lynch. If you hear anything about Buffalo's lack of depth at RB, don't believe it - Jackson is legitimate, and he'll be a big part of Buffalo's offense in 2008 as a change of pace back. -Brian Galliford, Buffalo Rumblings
