The Hawk's Nest... Bar & Grill!!

Did anybody else notice the new bar on 2nd, right by the stadium called the Hawk's Nest?

It's decor is 100% Seahawks, and I heard the food was pretty good. I only went in for one beer after a preseason game, but it's nice to see some places opening in Seattle that actively embrace our sports teams and their history, instead of trying to be a catch-all "sports bar".

I probably should have kept it as my own little "secret", but oh well.

I found their website: http://www.hawksnestbar.com/index.html

Its a pretty sweet story...

Of how the place came to be. It all started on a forum called seahawkblue.com. This gal who was a regular poster decided that there needed to be a Seahawk specific bar in town where fans could go watch away games. She wanted a place that simulated the feel of Qwest. She ended up finding a space, and finding investors from people on the forum, and made it happen. Great idea, cool story. There’s more on their website.

I should be on my fifth weenie smoothie by now! You know how many I've had? Zero...

Fucking sweet video on that website by the way

I could take issue with the music but wow that was good, homepage @ http://www.seahawkblue.com/

Why? Because the Seahawks rock my socks.

A friend of mine goes to that site quite a bit,

and he was the one that told me to look for it. I didn’t know the entire story though. Neat little place. I might head there for the home opener after tailgating with some friends (I don’t have tickets to the game unfortunately).

I'm back to liking midgets too much.

Monkeys and Midgets that's the way he rolls

Badical pretty much has trhe story nailed. Not much to add except tye gal that started The hawks nest, has put her heart and soul into the place, and it shows. Like Thingray says 100% Hawks. When they finish the largetnt wall it will be a ting to behold.

Nice spelling Rudy Beerfoam.

The reply button helps too. But all kidding aside, that place is cool, although it looks like we won’t be down tailgating this weekend. Spent too much at Cannon Beach and on the ring, so I can’t afford tix from a street vendor. Seems like a long drive and a lot of effort to watch the game in a bar, when I can do that up north at O’Fee’s.

Proof Reading for Typos 101

I hear ya on the cash flow issue. And I do have Daniel this weekend as well. I’ll just wait for the Rams game to head down to The Nest. I should have more info on those tickets soon BTW. I’ll email ya on all that.

Yeah I do like this place, and have always found John’s analysis pretty interesting to read.

Now if only I could learn that the preview button is my friend.
