Going to the home-opener
I know there is no tail-gaiting or whatever, but is there an unofficial hangout where you can bring your own beer and hang out with like-minded people without the worry of getting hounded by police?
First actual regular season game and a few of us want to get a cheap buzz on before we get in there. Any suggestions? How are cops policing the area? Strict or understanding that it's a football game and people want to drink on the cheap before going in? Or am I relegated to going to a bar?
Thanks in advance.
A place to bury strangers.

Don't worry about it.
There is plenty of tailgating starting around 9am west of Safco in the parking lots behind the buildings on the other side of the street. You can also tailgate behind Pyramid Brewery. The cops flat out said they are not going to go around and check peoples cups.
Bring a colored plastic cup for the beer and don’t piss on the street.
I'd like to kick Josh Brown in the privates!

I will be there too
Just so you know, it is usually around $40 to park at the lot just east of Hwy 99, which is the biggest tailgate. You will want to get there by nine to ensure a good spot.

I'm gonna park for free somewhere a ways away and then take myself and my beer down there.
Find a friendly group of fans and start drinking.
I fucking hate you Mariners
