Plack, Forsett, Kent released

http://blogs.thenewstribune.com/seahawks/2008/09/09/forsett_kent_plackemeier_released

Star-divide

Even though JM is boycotting the Insider, Hughes just broke this info.  I see the Plack cut, but I don't get Kent and Forsett.  2 young talents with arguably the best upside of any of our current WRs and RBs.  Kent I kinda get because he's so raw, but he seemed to be getting better every game.

Forsett had a MONSTER of a preseason.  I realize that is an oxymoron, but still.  He racked up more multi purpose yards in 1 game than the other team had total.  How do you part with that much potential?  Just because he's small and fumbled 1 punt?  I don't get it, and I really don't think he'll make it through waivers.

A place to bury strangers.

I don't like this

I would of cut Coutu and Howard Green to make room. I don’t see Kent or Forsett making it to the PS.

So we have 1 open spot on the roster

You may gain some yards on the ground, but eventually Lofa will end up biting you in the ass.

Somethin’s a brewin. In Ruskell we trust, right..?

I think one of ’em will make it, or is that me misreading hope?

Bringin' the outside heat.

I'm now wondering who we signed?

Kent would be next in line for the split end position vacated by Burly. We must have someone in mind, if not in Seattle already. I wonder who.

I should be on my fifth weenie smoothie by now! You know how many I've had? Zero...

Kent looked worse than Taylor against Buffalo

Kent would *have been* the next in line.

Now that I think about it, Cuoto must only be occupying the spot

that a veteran WR will take when signed. Right?

SUCKS about Forsett. Shades of Ahman Green, Holmy? You old bastard.

Well if he clears waivers he will probably be assigned to the PS

This move was already speculated when he made the team.

But that doesn't protect him.

If they had enough RB after signing Jones and Duckett, why draft him? He clearly played well enough to make the roster otherwise.

Because he was the best player available

and is a 7th round pick. Why not take a flyer on him.

You're right.

Cut Forsett but keep 2 kickers. Brilliant!

fuck

he keeps coutu and an extra d-lineman??? what the bloody hell. so we’ll probably lose one or both of these guys. i hope we retain them both but especially kent. he should’ve cut coutu and atkins, then have the extra spot for the new flanker. i guess we’ll be seeing a new one in, i hope it’s k-rob.
