Screw it, let's go get OCHO CINCO
Seriously, why don't we make a push for Chad Ocho Cinco? I brought this topic up a few months ago in semi-jest, and the general reaction was that he wasn't a Holmgren or a Ruskell-guy.
Well, if our alternatives at wideout are Courtney Taylor and Logan Payne and the newly acquired McMuffin, we should be in desperation mode as far as wideouts go. Don't get me wrong, I'm no emo fan that wants to give up on the season after Week 1, but we don't have any one who can catch the ball. The only guy who had solid hands was Carlson and we can't depend on a rookie tight end to account for the 4000yds we want Hasselbeck to throw for.
If the Bengals don't want his distractions any more, I say let's make an offer. He is INSANELY talented. Personally, I don't think he'd be nearly as much of a distraction as he is in Cincy; that locker room has no leaders except for Carson Palmer. I'd love to see Chad try and cause disharmony in our locker room with Lofa and Kerney in there.
Any thoughts on possibly trying to get the Receiver Formerly Known as Chad Johnson on our team?

Panic move
We don’t want or need that type of baggage. Also, Ruskell learned from his “mistake” with Branch. We don’t need to waste much needed cap space on a troubled WR who isn’t getting any younger.
We get Branch back sooner than later, Engram as well. We’ll be fine.
I want to put my cap money on re-signing Leroy Hill.

Sounds good on paper...
Ain’t going to happen. Chad Johnson is also very expensive.
I think picking up several veteran recievers is a better option.

Marvin Lewis called him "Ocho Psycho"...
…………………………… I have to think there’s a deal to be done there.
It wouldn’t surprise me in the least, although the OSU wideout the Hawks need to be looking at is Mike Hass, who was the college receiver of the year about 3 years ago and who was recently cut by the Bears from their practice squad. Not a burner but a possession receiver in the Largent mode and GREAT hands…

We tried out Hass yesterday
And chose McMullen over him. Hass doesn’t have the ability to get open in the NFL
You may gain some yards on the ground, but eventually Lofa will end up biting you in the ass.

My biggest problem with Ocho
Is the fact he is playing with a Torn Labrum. I don’t want another question mark at receiver.
