David Greene Retires
And in his honor, a small haiku.
the third-round draft pick
they thought, better than barber?
who runs for cowboys
quarterback wins are
useless indicators and
college greene proved this
"more wins than manning"
not unlike rex grossman in
that one super bowl
but we enjoyed him
missing the targets in camp
preseason fumbles
soon seattle will
draft next franchise quarterback
can ruskell do this?

As someone said
it’s hard to feel sorry for him… He’s a god at… Georgia? And he can always go back there and start his career as a an assistant coach, and who knows, after a few years he can be the next Sark.
i thought Jim Zorn
was the one who really lobbied for the drafting of Greene? If so, good luck on the draft this year Redskins. Although I might be remembering completely wrong here, but that sticks in my head for some reason.
Nobody wants to take credit for the logic behind drafting Greene.

That's ok,
they have Campbell for several years. Drafting a QB is a fickle really hard thing to do consistently well anyways. Even Ichiro/Pujols /Dimaggio strikes out every once in a while.
Don't forget God Brennan!
Especially after that rumor the Redskins haven’t decided on extending Campbell’s contract because they aren’t entirely sure if they’ve committed to him as the franchise QB.

Doug Farrar is a regular Natsume Sōseki.
Particulary liked the the part: ‘“more wins than Manning”
not unlike rex grossman
in that one super bowl’

Successful lefty
Shared snaps with DJ Shockley
Now shares snaps with Leaf
Not so talented:
Richt milked Greene for lots of wins
Holmgren? not so much
Poor old David Greene
Just like Crouch is out of league
Have fun stocking shelves
I DRINK YOUR MILKSHAKE!!! I DRINK IT UP!!
preseason appearances, birthday parties, etc

Good question
When you haven’t played in a regular season game in 4 years, haven’t you already “retired”? At least now he is free to join the cast of NFL Live or some other god awful football show that takes washed up, busted out NFL players.
I don't even remember how he played
What was the knock on him?
