1st Round Pick from Denver

Hello there, I am a Bronco fan from Portland, OR. I had the opportunity to come to your beautiful stadium with my girlfriend for her first NFL game and we had a blast this preseason when our teams met up. It was kind of a bummer to lose but I've always been a huge T.J. fan.

One thing which I was forced to hear time and time again in the stadium was "Thanks for the top 5 pick". Of course I am referring to the trade made between the Broncos and Seahawks during the draft:

Denver's 2010 first round choice in exchange for an early pick in the second round of the 2009 draft who ended up being our starting nickel corner, though he is injured right now.

While at Qwest Field I had to put up with a lot of jibber jabber from some of your drunker fanbase and I just wanted to come over and see what you guys are expecting now? Still a top 5 pick?

Tough loss against the Cardinals by the way. Good luck with the rest of the season!

A place to bury strangers.

Yep, utterly stupid trade by Denver.

I’d be happy with the outcome even if Denver went to the superbowl. There’s absolutely no downside for the Seahawks.

I’m expecting a mid round pick, which makes me happy. Good talent but not top 10 contract.

Of course we're not expecting a top-5 pick anymore

The start of the season by Denver has been surprising (dare I say impressive), ultimately I think you’ll end up with somewhere between a 9-7 to 11-5 record.

The pick we’ll get should be around 18-25, still a great value for the Hawks on their investment, and a seemingly stupid trade on the Broncos part IMO. Good luck on the rest of the season.

I think it is.

Pretty clear troll post with a false veneer of decency to prevent it from being deleted.

*Round of applause*

What the hell was I thinking being polite…?

hahaha

As if there aren’t any other fans out there who troll. Typical!

Thanks, boys. I have to admit it felt good to say...

Question, though— Did I set a record by having two rants green-recced within the shortest amount of space ever on FG?

Impressive indeed...

Which is actually prompting me to write a fan-post with a great idea for FieldGulls.

So much anger

Feel free to type for another hour if it helps.

I just found it amusing that you seemed to think that trolling is trait unique to Denver fans. It’s such an easy troll and such an easy target, I’m surprised it hurts this much.

Just for reference, I’ve probably been reg’d on Field Gulls for a couple years. I’m not here simply for the “FUCK YOU GUYS” draft-pick battle (again, a very touchy subject around these parts), which is more than can be said for others.

by WABronco on Oct 18, 2009 9:17 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

That took 5 minutes to type...

it’s easy at 70wpm when the words come so damn easy. But, allow me to summarize.

It was douchey of him, and douchey of you to add to it.

If you’ve been around for a while, cool. I’ve lived in Denver as long as you’ve been coming to FG then, and I’ve seen more than enough of it to have zero tolerance for pretty much anything donkey, particularly here.

Your probably right...

…but the timing isn’t right for the question.

Following a loss that, in all likelihood, spells the end of any real hopes of a playoff run, isn’t the time to ask a question that “rubs salt in the wounds”.

It smacks of an “in your face”.

No kidding

A troll is a troll. So I found chainsaw’s generalized rant a little amusing. Didn’t know white people from Colorado could piss someone off that much.

If you don't 'Rec' this you are a douche.

Early prospect watch: RB C.J. Spiller, OT Ciron Black, DT Gerald McCoy, S Eric Berry, DT Ndamukong Suh, CB Ras-I Dowling 6'2, 200, RB Jonathan Dwyer, Sam Bradford*.

+15

That’s the number of spots I project the Seahawks will gain in the exchange of picks with Denver.

For those of you who may be initiative challenged...

That means I believe the Broncos will pick 22 (A first round, Wildcard playoff loss).

Which puts them in another layer of talent in a better draft class.

Enjoy the fluke season Denver, Kyle Orton and the musclehead are your future.

And unquestionably so...

Maybe to early for this speculation…. but do you see Seattle’s mid-season weaknesses aligning with next years potential draft strength’s?

Ah yes

Keep pounding on that PFP bible you have there, I assume right at your computer desk.

One of the better young OL’s in the game, a good young back, and a defense that can go nowhere but up from the garbage they once were. The future looks pretty decent.

Got humble?

Oops, sorry.

I thought I was talking to someone else. You are a donkey fan. Goes without saying you don’t.

Uh

Humble about what? I believe it’s well within my rights to reply to JM’s comments, is it not Mr. Taking-things-way-too-hard?

Only reason I’m here (and have been here) is the writing. Not trolling or whatever, so direct your cliche forum anger elsewhere. I’ll try to keep keywords like “Denver” and “Broncos” to a minimum like I usually do—don’t want to be responsible for an aneurysm.

This should have either been deleted immediately, or ignored.

Don’t feed the trolls.

Just my two cents

I admit to being a troll but never having posted before. First of all I am sorry for any disrespect of Broncos fans to come here and post something. I don’t think it’s necessary. I do think it’s okay to go to other sights and discuss. I come here because aside from the Broncos I like the Seahawks. Needless to say I think the trade will be a win win for both teams. We got a great CB in Alphonso Smith and don’t have to pay 2 first round picks in back to back years, and you guys get a higher draft choice next year. I think we are very happy with Alphonso Smith and I wish you the best with your first round pick next year, wherever it may be, but here’s hoping the Denver pick is 32.

Best regards

Listen man,

Only reason I posted was the mild amusement I got from your rant. That’s all. I would totally call the troll a douche and whatever. Not here to troll as I said before, but if you want to battle we can bust out the Pokemon.

The reason I came here in the first place is I am somewhat of a bandwagon SEA fan, being from the area (and taking into consideration the fact that SEA is no longer in the same div/conf). Loved ‘05-’06. Mad as hell after the SB.

Dont be hatin’, yo.

Fine.

I’m stupid. You’re smart. I was wrong. You were right. You’re the best. I’m the worst. You’re very good-looking. I’m not attractive.

Elvis Dumervil contract status:

2010: Free Agent.

Brandon Marshall?

2010: Free Agent.

You still traded away your best player and are set for more losses this off-season. Without the draft picks to make up for it. Fluke season might be right. The Denver fans responsible for this post being douches? Absolutely right.

I wouldn't be surprised if Denver crashes and burns next year

Just to further show how cursed the Seahawks are. It seems as though the Seattle curse is helping Denver win games just to spite Seattle.
