Former Seahawks Safety Terreal Bierria Arrested on Murder Suspicion
Remember Terreal Bierria getting beat by Shaun McDonald on the winning TD when the Rams came back from 27-10 to beat the Seahawks in 2004? He's in a much more serious matter as he's been booked for first-degree murder of a Sidell, LA man.
He is being held in jail without bond.

Oh, my.
That really is disheartening.

Dang
I always really wanted him to succeed. Man, did he have some size and strength for a safety. I thought he was gonna be great. Too slow, though. I had a lot of empathy for him when he got himself cut, to go down and be with his family after Katrina. Hope he didn’t do it, but it doesn’t look good. No matter who did it it’s an awful story.

Agreed. Everything about it sounds sad
I also wanted him to succeed (he was basically the Jamar Adams of ‘02-’04). Hell, to this day I still think he could of if the team had a competent D staff in those days – Sidwell & Marshall’s schemes squandered talent like crazy for years because they did stuff like leave a SS in single man coverage vs. Shaun McDonald. Boulware’s career was chewed up & spit out in the same way once they plugged him in ….
Anyways, I’ve always thought that being a fringe NFL player has got to be one of the toughest disappointments to deal with – knowing that you’re better at something than 99.99% of the population, but just not quite good enough to hang with the .01%. In Bierria’s case, he left camp, turned down offers from other teams, and spent most of his money (and as a 4th rounder, it’s not like he was swimming in it) to rebuild his extended family’s lives after Katrina. 2 years out of the NFL, and he couldn’t get back in.
Sounds like he fell in with drugs – it’s just all very sad. a man is dead, and Bierria will be separated from the family that he sacrificed so much for.
