Redskins signs Levi Jones
We all wondered if the Seahawks would sign Jones considering how decimated our O-line is. Looks like the Redskins got him.

The Lions worked Levi Jones out and didn't sign him.
That made me wary. And the LOLSKINS also brought in Mike Williams, bust tackle by the Bills, in too so they aren’t the best team to trust in talent evaluation. But I agree, this o-line has been ignored to the point where it’s going to be a consistent problem in games.

I'm sure the 30 other NFL GMs who failed to sign him are also retards.
See this is the kind of reactionary BS that does not belong here. Do not jump to conclusions, there is likely a lot that you do not know about Levi Jones. He’s probably pretty messed up.

Once again, the crack team of Snyder and Cerrato find a gem 31 other front offices missed out on.

No kidding
The fact that the Redskins signed him should tell you everything you need to know.

Wow.
Overreact much?
As I type this, I look directly to my right and see a headline, “Has reaction replaced news?” I find that somewhat ironic.
Durtee, passion is one thing. Lord knows I have it in excess, but there is a balance with reason that needs to be struck…
Levi Jones one of the best tackles in the NFL?!? According to whom?
And Ruskell has done quite a few things right for this team, even if not everything has been right. IIRC, you were the one that wanted Holmgren as GM, correct? Clear your bias a little bit then and look at this from the other side. There were reasons 30 teams passed on the guy. It certainly wasn’t because he was one of the league’s best tackles…

I'd take Levi Jones over the freak show we've had at LT recently.

You don't know that
There’s a lot of unknowns with Levi Jones.

I've not had a problem with us not bringing Levi Jones in.
I’d wondered, very early in the year, but I’m not bothered by it.
But once you put it that way, it makes me respond, true but I’m now terribly interested in watching those unknowns be answered.

How many unknowns can there be?
My bias for this team has nothing to do with me wanting the Hawks to do something about LT position. More than a month ago I suggested that we sigh Levi, or at least work him out.
I understand that 30 teams passed on this guy but guess what? Not all those 30 teams have a revolving door at LT.
Reaction is just fine as long as I am not writing the damn articles. It is because my passion that I want Ruskell to actually LOOK at all his options. Obviously he didn’t, otherwise he wouldn’t be signing practice squad cast aways from other teams.
The only certainty that I know of about Levi Jones is that he wanted top LT money. Many O-lineman have fallen off due to age, injury, scheme, etc but I think Levi at least deserved a look.

Or he did look at Levi and decided the other players he's gone after are better options
Among starting players, Jones might have been the worst player in football last year.

The Packers had a pressing need, worked him out, and passed.
My understanding is that Levi’s situation doesn’t have much to do about money – it’s all about health. He’s missed 17 games over the past 3 seasons. He wasn’t in any training camp this year.
Signing him during the offseason as an insurance policy is one thing – then you have a chance to evaluate his health and get him in shape (and there were conflicting reports that the ‘Hawks were interested or that a FA visit was canceled – for all we know, the training staff got one look at his medical report and said “stay the hell away”). But signing him as an emergency stopgap once the season’s started is entirely different. Damion McIntosh went through a whole training camp and has worked with Solari before, and it still took him a week to get near game ready. Levi Jones hasn’t played a down of football in almost a full calendar year.
