Yeah 2nd down was the hit in the backfield by Arenas. 3rd down the DT ran right through the o-line and forced Crompton into getting rid of it quickly

He was....decent.
He was a junior my senior year and then I believe he was kicked out of school, don’t know how he did after he changed schools.
We ran a triple option type offense and he managed it well, but he was basically a running back that would throw 5 times a game.
I wonder what triggered the transformation
because he’s anything but a prospect, but still a hell of a college quarterback.
I could be selling him short.
Our team was good and the running game was outstanding, so he does deserve some credit for that, I guess.
Supposedly the time he spent in CC
also the fact that Oregon had no one else healthy. Costa was supposed to be the starter last year and this year. Masoli still has bouts of inaccuracy.

I guess that isn't much different from what he does now.

I know the goal is to try and make Locker a traditional QB
But can they just unleash some option running plays with him? Mix it up a bit?

He may be the top QB in this draft class but I think that’s more of an indictment on what a weak QB class this is. Jake has a lot of work today before he can be a good pro QB.

I couldn’t stand him in his junior season because he was such a liability on offense.

Yeah, I really liked him in his freshman season, but a lot of his success might of been due to Roy.
His sophomore and junior seasons were awful.

Having An NBA caliber center in college is a huge deal. good true centers are so rare in college that the impact they can have on a game is astronomical, for example the Stanford teams with the Lopez twins they really had no one else and they still went deep in the tourney
