So we can accentuate our small defense with an even smaller offense!

by John Morgan on Oct 24, 2009 6:12 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
Has Mays demonstrated any cover/ ball skills?
All I see is him blitzing and trying to blow up running plays.
by redwolf75 on Oct 24, 2009 6:15 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
He's fast as hell
so, just sideline to sideline, blowing guys up, he is a cover safety, but ball skills or awareness? I’ve never seen them.
by John Morgan on Oct 24, 2009 6:16 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
The only example I've seen this season
was his INT against Cal. He was on the wrong side of the endzone and adjust back and made the pick. Few other people would’ve made it cause of the speed. But a good safety wouldn’t have needed to make that adjustment.

Am I wrong to be alarmed by that?

That depends very much how you feel about the geriatric.

I like them very much

I doubt you would use the elderly for that purpose.

Meh
Grind up and reconstitute them into a patty and serve it schools. Probably a better food source than what they serve in schools now.

My roommate and I both were in disbelief at this.

If Taylor Mays is drafted in the first round
I will laugh very hard. Unless it is Seattle. Don’t be that guy, Tim.

Oakland will deliver Berry to us.
Berry/Mays is the new Crabtree/DHB

Fearless!
Good to have you back. Do you seriously like Mays’ play?

Not in particular, no.
Good athlete and Seattle guy. Might be a good player in the NFL but better odds he won’t. Berry looks clearly better.
But what do I know, I thought Eugene Monroe was the next Chris Samuels.

I think he's saying
That Mays will be drafted by Count Al based on his 40 speed alone. Much like DHB last year. And in doing so the better payed will fall to us.

I watched Berry today
He was OK. He is a thousand times more impressive than Mays, for sure.

Is it possible for a guy to play for USC, be good and not get enough love?
Cause I think people don’t realize how awesome Damian Williams is. He’s like if you took BMW, Dwayne Jarett and Patrick Turner’s size and couple them with the speed and reliability of Steve Smith.
But I’m gushing.

Draft USC's LT Charlie Brown
And play him at TE-L next to McIntosh (or Walt if he can come back). Play Lock at LG, Unger at C, Spencer at RG, Willis at RT and Griffith at FB (or get O.Schmitt up to skill at run blocking) and get the ‘93 Blast’ goin again.
