I like Quiz

it’s too bad he’s grinding away his best years in college.

Quiz looks pooped

give the ball to someone else.

by John Morgan on Oct 24, 2009 5:34 PM PDT reply actions

Barkley

worth 3 more years of Hasselbeck. I’d say sure.

It is what it is...

by kidder95 on Oct 24, 2009 5:54 PM PDT reply actions

I wonder if we can hold out that long?

I know I’m biased as a USC fan but man does Barkley look like something special.

Such touch.

'Tweeter'?

What a pass

touch and precision. 19, bitches.

Mays has to blow the guy up

can’t break down and just tackle. Shades of Russel.

by John Morgan on Oct 24, 2009 6:03 PM PDT reply actions

Not exactly

Curry does it sometimes. It’s all I see Mays do.

by John Morgan on Oct 24, 2009 6:12 PM PDT up reply actions

Has Mays demonstrated any cover/ ball skills?

All I see is him blitzing and trying to blow up running plays.

by redwolf75 on Oct 24, 2009 6:15 PM PDT up reply actions

He's fast as hell

so, just sideline to sideline, blowing guys up, he is a cover safety, but ball skills or awareness? I’ve never seen them.

by John Morgan on Oct 24, 2009 6:16 PM PDT up reply actions

The only example I've seen this season

was his INT against Cal. He was on the wrong side of the endzone and adjust back and made the pick. Few other people would’ve made it cause of the speed. But a good safety wouldn’t have needed to make that adjustment.

I don't know,

there so much skepticism he can be a quality QB in the NFL not sure the blowback will be that significant.

by Dukeshire on Oct 24, 2009 6:36 PM PDT up reply actions

The?

No. I actually think if he has even modest success at QB on Sundays there will be a feeling that his potential was underestimated. It’s as though there is some kind of safety net there for his failure in the NFL.

Don't get me wrong, he's impressive. In all the right ways.

And I was blown away how cool he was at the Horseshoe back in September. But there’s more to this game than just him. Truth be told, I get this way anytime one player gets a sensational amount of attention, even if they may deserve it. But he’s got the football world by the short and curlies. For sure.

Is it possible for a guy to play for USC, be good and not get enough love?

Cause I think people don’t realize how awesome Damian Williams is. He’s like if you took BMW, Dwayne Jarett and Patrick Turner’s size and couple them with the speed and reliability of Steve Smith.

But I’m gushing.

Draft USC's LT Charlie Brown

And play him at TE-L next to McIntosh (or Walt if he can come back). Play Lock at LG, Unger at C, Spencer at RG, Willis at RT and Griffith at FB (or get O.Schmitt up to skill at run blocking) and get the ‘93 Blast’ goin again.
