I love the city, I dislike the fans.
I’d like to be able to pull for the Cubbies/Bears/Bulls, but it just doesn’t happen. Chicago sports fans are as obnoxious as NY fans, just fatter and substitute some ignorance for arrogance.

The suburbs are all genuinely boring, but downtown Chicago (including Near North, Streeterville), and the areas just north of those like Bucktown, Lincoln Park, Belmont, and Wrigleyville are all genuinely cool.
