This is the double edge of my hermetic existence. A great game with great storylines will be played tonight, and I don't have ESPN so I have not been drown in hype. I don't have ESPN, so I won't be watching it. The readership of Field Gulls is neither so free nor so encumbered. This is a thread to discuss a great week four game between the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings. A game with playoff implications. A game played between two teams of 45. A game significant for the great players that populate those teams, not one man's selfish history.

I watch the NFL, College Football, the Blazers before Comcast fucked average people and the Mariners when they appear on Fox, and aside from a few OPB shows my wife life likes, that is my TV viewing.

It does come in handy sometime

I think back to when Marinelli was interviewing with Seattle. Around then the swell of media cast him as a courageous leader that held his cool through the storm, but I just saw the defensive mastermind behind one of the league’s all time awful defenses. BigBlueShoe called me out with the media line when I impelled Seattle not to sign. It was a curveball at first, but then I figured it out…and some other things.
