Dockett's Dirty Elbow?
Hawks' fans, I posed the question to the ROTB community about Darnell Dockett's elbow the throat and whether it was a dirty move or just commonplace in the NFL. Since it obviously happened to your QB, I figured you all might like to chime in as well.

I don't see the meaning of that "or"
Simply because something is commonplace it can’t be dirty? I’d guess it’s not that heavily unusual to sneak in an extra blow after a tackle, but that doesn’t magically make it fair play.

It was dirty.
But personally I’m more disappointed that nobody on the Seahawks retaliated than I am that Dockett did it in the first place.
If I was an o-lineman, I’d be throwing some dirty cut blocks on Dockett’s knees, or if I was a defender I’d be putting a helmet to Warner’s jaw (even if I had to do it 3 seconds late because nobody could have touched him otherwise). It might sound like a childish response, but just like in baseball, the best way to protect your guys is to show the other team that there are consequences for going after your guys.
