Seattle Seahawks at Houston Texans - Game Thread II
Seattle has proven incapable of defending whenever the opposing team must pass: two-minute drills, when starting Ryan Moats and when behind. Houston is flooding the secondary with receivers and Matt Schaub is slicing up Seattle's zone. This game reminds me of the Rod Marinelli rumors. Detroit sunk itself by attempting a Tampa 2 without the kind of front four talent to disrupt the quarterback's timing. Seattle avoided Marinelli but bought into his approach.
It's appalling.

I hate zone defense combined with a so-so pass rush.

I hate Bradley's insistence on a 3 man rush.
When one of them is Kerney, in particular.

If we Win by 6 points
Texans head coach is going to yell at kris brown and blame the loss on him
Then Kris brown will go on a long consecutive field goal making streak

Tampa managed to have a worse first half than us.
Down 19 points and zero first downs.
yes, but they already have a franchise QB
so realistically, they’re already ahead of us on the rebuilding schedule. We still have yet to get to that level of suck, and that won’t be for 2 years now.

No.
It’s annoying having to see someone post TEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL every time the QB makes a bad play.

Damn, the guy from sopcast is a seahawks hater.
Said it was Holmgren’s post SB speech that turned him, after the hawks got dominated by the Stealers. Wow.
wasn't Unger supposed to be the center in waiting when we let Spencer go?
so why not move the timetable up

What I love about all this...
Texans see the Colts twice a year, who have been running a Tampa 2 for god knows how long… and lose every time (peyton), but the moment they see the Hawks, absolutely pass all over us.

How was that not a personal foul – late hit at the end of that play? Burleson got clobbered when he got up off of the ground after being tackled.

Not surprising with a back injury

Someone have a Fire Gus Bradley NOW Site
And get rid of Babineaux (who lost the SF game for us).
How in the bleaking bloody ^&%&$% can the safeties get beat so bad?
Last week I was screaming my lungs out telling that piece of incompetent Defensive Coordinator to leave the field in the first freaking qtr. Why is he even on the teams sideline? The guy cannot coach, cannot make a proper defensive call, cannot lead.
FIRE HIS A$$
RPM
You really think this defense is being coached well?
You see Mora yelling at Bradley in the first?
RPM
You mean the Babineaux that forced the fumble
that prevented SF from scoring last week?

Yes
The same one who cannot defend TE’s, who is routinely beat by WR’s deep (see AJ in the first QTR, where is the Safety over the top).
And as far as stopping by, hard to do when you are at the Seahawks field on Sunday’s yelling so loud that you taste blood.
And whoever said let’s get Suh, that would be great, but I would love to see a pounder like Gearhardt here as well.
RPM
Uh, yeah, that's Trufant getting routinely torched today.
Not Babineaux.

I hate seeing returners or backs jump at the pile.
You immediately concede your run at that moment, instead of attempting to break free.
I tried it when they gave it away for free.
It wasn’t worth the price then.

Do you think
He’ll be able to improve his blocking? Last year I remember him looking alright, not the best but serviceable at least. Am I wrong and he was bad last year too?
by ungoreatstefan on Dec 13, 2009 12:19 PM PST up reply actions
Sure
I expect him to improve his blocking by receiving more.

He blocks most downs
therefore he increases his chance of a catastrophic miss. He is a receiver.

Something's wrong with Matt, and I don't necessarily think it's his arm.
He seems to have a lot of zip, but his accuracy is way off.
Maybe he’s forcing it due to a lack of arm strength?
He doesn't even have velcro.
Bird Law in this country isn't governed by reason.
by Tyler Jorgensen on Dec 13, 2009 12:18 PM PST up reply actions
Dunno.
Maybe someone with a stopwatch can time it for me? I’m talking about more on the short throws.
I could be totally wrong, it’s just the way it LOOKS.
Clearly he’s not accurate at a distance, which, like I said, might be that lack of arm strength? He can probably FORCE zip on a short throw, but if going long that ends up in wild throws.
At least, that’s my experience when I played.
His short throws hang
Which is inexcusable.

Wow, Matt with the Seneca throws.

Jesus, Housh.
How about getting to the first down marker?
It's a crossing pattern
it runs under the marker and attempts yards after catch.
by John Morgan on Dec 13, 2009 12:19 PM PST up reply actions
So someone assign the right route.
It’s the WCO, too… most routes have multiple options.
I do understand the underneath crossing route.
It just didn’t look to me like there was much to be underneath of… couldn’t see ANYONE deeper than him.
