This is my first morning watching football on a high definition TV.
Oh. My. God.
What the hell have I been missing?

Pump-fake into double coverage, still throws it

anyone else not able to get 13 in over the air broadcast?
not sure if its my location (kirkland,wa) or them switching to a digital signal thats weaker on vhf.
KCPQ always seems to have OTA issues.
They’ve had problems as long as I can remember.
Seriously some of my earliest memories are of my dad climbing onto the roof to adjust the antenna
because KCPQ’s signal was always weak.
Every single part of this is amazing
huge players, easily readable numbers, easily distinguishable players, no blur, great color and blacks…I may never leave my couch.

You have a VGA input on the back of that thing?
You can do what I do if I need to go back to look at the game. Download a good copy from NFL torrents, wire my computer to the screen, and watch parts of the game again in 720p.
I'm not sure exactly
The new recording process is something I need to figure out.
by John Morgan on Dec 20, 2009 10:54 AM PST up reply actions
Ten Yard Torrents might be your best bet.
The guy who typically does Seahawks captures usually gets a fantastic copy to share.
Ughh, looks like im going to miss the game today because of work. Kick some ass today Seahawks.
SEA!
SEA!
Yeah, it sucks, but I need the money, so I decided to go in.
If the Hawks were in the race I’d probably stay home.
SEA!
They were mathematically still in it last night
Then the Cowboys won.

Until today
I watching football on a TV Alanya found in the dumpster.

Does this mean then,
that you have cable. Thus, the NFL Network…? (I prey)
I'm gonna go calm submissive on your ass.
Dick Stockton is special
The referee makes the “punt deflected” motion and Stockton says “it might have been deflected.”

Braylon was WIDE open. That was too easy.

There's something about a high arching bomb,
dropping perfectly into the basket, that makes me smile.
I'm gonna go calm submissive on your ass.
This is the most amazing thing I've ever seen.
I can not even fathom how I did analysis before today.
I'm confused.
Sorry to harp on this but, you have cable but no NFL. Or, no cable? You must though to have HD. I’m fascinated for some reason.
I'm gonna go calm submissive on your ass.
Broadcast HD over an antenna.
No cable.

I had no idea that could happen.
I’m not, like, technological.
I'm gonna go calm submissive on your ass.
Wallace for a fifth
Hasselbeck for a third. Maybe we can sell him on Walter Jones.

What finally motivated me
was this last week I was working on some tape while Alanya was around and, in one play, I was struggling to make out Aaron Curry, and so I played one play for like ten minutes, even recruiting Alanya, because she has 20-15 vision.
I was like: Fuck this.

Plasma display
Very good refresh rate, but be sure to change the channel every now and then to prevent burn-in from the scorebox or the ticker.
Thanks.
It has something to heal burn in—though I still want to avoid it. The refresh rate is why I bought it.

The biggest criticism I read is the color
but I have no complaints.
by John Morgan on Dec 20, 2009 10:59 AM PST up reply actions
Well you're always going to get complaints when reviewers are comparing products next to a Sony Bravia.
Panasonic makes good displays, though.
I actually use my 32" HDTV as a desktop computer monitor
so I went with LCD since there are so many static screen elements.
Plasma is the way to go now.
Since they fixed most of the burn in issues (can still happen but has the screen refresh that wipes the screen)
My bro just go the same TV.

You made a wise decision
Did you ever get a chance to analyze Curry’s forced fumble?
Or was it just a big blur that happened?

I haven't completed the analysis to my satisfaction
I plan on continuing it into last week. I’m taking care of business in December because I am taking a room in January-February and concentrating on the book.

Speaking of which,
If you travel plans take you to the Bay Area, Vegas or Spokane / Couer d Alene, and need lodging, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
I'm gonna go calm submissive on your ass.
As to better catch the pass he would be targeted for several plays later.
I'm gonna go calm submissive on your ass.
I love Dick Enberg,
His understatement and dry humor are great.
I'm gonna go calm submissive on your ass.
He's leaving CBS at season's end to call Padres baseball.
Won’t hear him on March Madness.

I got a feeling Hasselbeck is throwing an INT on his 1st or 2nd pass
Today.
I’m confident Seattle can win but Hasselbeck is terrible.
ME! BANE!
I felt the same way, John, getting my first HDTV in August.
I thought it was closer to a gimmick than a true, big-time reality. Boy was I surprised. Freaking awesome. :)
This.
Sanchez picked off.
And Brittany Murphy is dead.

I only sort of know who that is.
She’s really young though right?

Actress that was in "Just Married" with Ashton Kutcher
And she was in “Clueless”
Sam Bradford, future Seattle Seahawk.

It's funny, too, despite being a complete suck
Sanchez keeps defenses from stacking against the run. Wouldn’t that be nice?
by John Morgan on Dec 20, 2009 11:15 AM PST up reply actions
I might too
but that bomb will keep them honest for now.
by John Morgan on Dec 20, 2009 11:17 AM PST up reply actions
Which is odd,
because they have a legit rushing attack. (Or not odd ’cause he can throw it more than 35 yards)
I'm gonna go calm submissive on your ass.
I'd be surprised if we don't get burned a few times by Winslow.
Who’s going to cover him, I wonder? Then, there’s Antonio Bryant who has been heating up. I hope it’s not a P.I. day for Tru.
This.
I'm recording the Browns-Chiefs game for later viewing. Not entirely sure why.
Want to look at a couple of players, I guess.
This.
NEVER KICK THE BALL TO CRIBBS!
Seriously, 2 return TDs today.

The first one was so bad
Haven’t seen the second but the first return TD included about five missed tackles.

and still be mediocre.

but he seems like someone from another era.

Reading over some of the results
Sounds like Enberg stirred some controversy.

Hey guys...Niko from Bucem..
Just wanted to say congrats on the HDTV…and very sorry to inform you, you will never be able to watch standard def tv ever again now. Your ruined.
Good Luck today, and if the Rams continue to beat Houston, I could care less if you beat us, as long as we at least play a good game.
Go Rams! en-dom-e-ken in 2010!
OH and hope you guys enjoyed the seahawks bucs highlights on Bucem. If you didnt get to see them,
look up this weeks classic enemy flashback, and enemy flashback, plus there is a 1976 Bucs/Hawks clip on Monday.

Seattle can sometimes transform into a much better team at home.
And thanks. It’s wild.

But not before a piss-poor start.
As indicated against the Rams, Lions, and 49ers.

No you'll be up 14-0 courtesy of two Hasselbeck turnovers
Then we unleash hell with our deadly checkdowns to Justin Griffith. It’s finished off with a 21-14 victory.

WSU Harrison (CLE) having a nice game
On another note, I sure hope this community is patient with Seatte’s new QB, whenever that happens. Rookie QB’s make mistakes. And Payton Manning is an aberration.
It is what it is...
Peyton Manning's first year saw him throw 26 INTs.

I stand corrected
Perhaps I’m too rigid, but the hate on Sanchez is mind boggling to me. I hope we would accept a new QB with patience.
Thanks for the correction, SS!
It is what it is...
You take the good with the bad
He had the most TD passes thrown by a rookie and also threw plenty of INTs.

I don't have one either
when I watch it at a bar I can see a difference but not enough to make it a necessity.

My TV's price has dropped 200.00 since I bought it in August.
The longer you wait, the more affordable they’ll be.

Meanwhile the Dolphins/Titans game turned competitive
Time for a Vince Young GW drive?
I hope it doesn't involve a bunch of 4th down conversions.
