What's the chance he's around in rd 2?
"It's just one big guy against another big guy, both teams know what's at stake. The one of them comes out on top and it feels good."
-Chris Collinsworth, Madden 09
From the mock drafts I've seen, pretty good.
Most have him in the middle of the 2nd.
Though it’s early to tell, he could have a monster combine and then all our speculation would be moot.
I love his 2 blocks on the long int return. Awesome.
Also, that song really pumped me up!! But that’s because I’m old and white.
That song pumps everyone up..ROY JONES JR.!!!
That first block he threw gave me chills. Laid that guy out. I’d love to see him doing that in a Hawks uniform. PLEASE GOD LET HIM FALL!
Chung
nfldraftscout has Chung their #1 ranked S. I wonder about his speed, as some articles question it mildly. I also wonder if he would play with Grant, and if so, would Grant switch positions or Chung just fill the hopefully vacates spot left by BRuss? I’ve read that Chung isn’t the greatest in coverage, and a change from ‘center-fielder’ in college to a more set position in the NFL will be a hurdle for him. I like him, though. I just have more questions than answers.
Maybe down the road in Seahawk/KSK lore, we get some Chung-sims instead of Hines Wald an his lice smirre.
I like Moore a whole lot better
But I would still be ecstatic if we picked up Chung. Problem is, do we reach for him in the early second or do we address our o-line need with someone like Unger?

True Ruskell pick
The kid has great work ethic and a leader. His draft stock is mostly lowered due to his smaller statue and mediocre 40. He’s also in the northwest and half-Chinese and half-Jamaican. What more can you ask?
I’d absolutely love it if we can draft him in the 2nd.
i agree 100%
picking him up at the top of round 2 would be perfect.
He's actually 3/4 Jamaican, 1/4 Chinese.
I DRINK YOUR MILKSHAKE!!! I DRINK IT UP!!
But then again, that safety from Alabama probably has a great work ethic too,
He was a walk on and ended being All-SEC his sophomore year if I remember correctly?
rashad johnson. he's the guy I would prefer to replace russell.
good character, multi-year starter, etc. we should really be looking at him.
Looking at scouting reports
and his awards. He is also a VERY good special teams player, though It might be tough to judge in college due to the lower quality of talent? Anyways, I think this is a definite plus, sort of like defense or baserunning in baseball, an added skill that gets overlooked.
I was also surprised to see hiim rated higher than William Moore on a few boards.
Not going to happen, Seattle needs Free Safety, not Strong Safety
Seattle takes Jenkins at #4 and he starts at free safety next year. Russel and Jennings compete for the corner opposite Trufant. And since we can get a Heyward-Bey quality receiver at 37, that fills the two top team needs in rounds 1 and 2. Put it in ink. Done deal.
what we need at S really depends on what coverages they want to run.
If they go cover/Tampa-2 route then another solid coverage S is needed. But if they go with more of a traditional SS/FS alignment, then it kills two birds with one stone by drafting a SS and switching Grant back to FS.
Where to begin...
Deon Grant is a natural FS playing out of position. Jenkins would be a CB. Russell is arguably the worst DB in the NFL, and where did you get this notion he can be a CB? And did you forget about Josh Wilson? Also, Heyward-Bey is Vernon Davis 2.0.

This music makes me think..
with a new youngish energetic HC, a much younger coaching staff and an increasingly younger team..
do you think we’ll get new entrance music? like something that might actually pump someone up? something that the players actually listen too
new entrance music, more green gloves and shoes, more trash talk, more swagger, more celebrating, more gully attitudes, more punching opponents in the face
