Redskins sign Haynesworth and Hall to massive deals
Story here on ESPN.
Look, I get that Haynesworth is awesome, but $100+ million dollars and $41 million being guaranteed is a little ridiculous. Dan Snyder is and has always been an overpaying idiot. Haynesworth, while possibly the most disruptive force in the game, has never played more than 14 games, and has attitude problems. I get the feeling that this may be like the CC Sabathia deal, where it is massive, and possibly appropriately valued, but every other deal in the offseason is a lot smaller due to the economy, cap constraints, and teams losing money.
Redskins also signed DeAngelo Hall, whom they had for half of last year after Oakland cut him to a 6 year $54 million dollar deal.
I'm guessing Snyder (and Jerry Jones) hope and expect no salary cap soon.

WTF
I really, really hope the league gets it’s ass together and gets the salary cap thing worked out, because this is ridiculous. How much is he going to make in the first season, twenty million?
Seriously, how the bloody hell did they sign him?
Last I checked they were bottom 5 in the NFL with money to spend in FA.

Man
It sure seems like Washington doesn’t have to play with the salary cap. Aren’t they in cap hell every year?
Wow
Overpaying for DeAngelo Hall. Didn’t they learn their lesson from Oakland?
FO made a great case for keeping Carlos Rogers instead of DeAngelo Hall not too long ago. Since Carlos Rogers was trade bait, I can only hope Ruskell is giving Jim Zorn and Dan Snyder a couple phone calls.
2nd day pick anyone?
Hand the reigns over to God Brennan, duh.
