New Orleans Saints Re-Sign Jon Stinchcomb
Save those subtly racist adjectives sports fans, savvy, heady but never athletic technician Jon Stinchcomb will continue his brainy pummeling in New Orleans. Saints fans are ecstatic, the city in an uproar and Edna Pontellier seen swimming back to shore. Stinchcomb made sense, but only at the right price, and in this market, right price won't be achieved for another week. If Seattle is so desperate for a gritty team leader on the line, there's always Brian Russell.
...And Ray Willis now stands between Seattle and a desperate shortage at offensive tackle.

Meh, I wouldn't have minded Stinchcomb.
Aside from his name. But he’s a really mobile person, very good on screens and kickouts and the like. But I still would rather have Willis and I’m terrified that when I refresh ESPN someone like the 49ers or Bears will have signed him. Him, and Weaver.

Doesn't it suck that Weaver is presumptively gone?
What a stupid waste of talent.

Very much so.
Fortunately, I think Schmitt will be good too, but Weaver…

Seriously. I better start seeing SOMETHING about Seattle re-signing Willis.
Or doing anything, for that matter.

34th overall pick for Cassel and Vrabel.
Doesn’t that sound like a steal for a starting QB who’s 26?
It works for both
Cassel isn’t great, but a capable quarterback is just that valuable. New England gets one of the most valuable picks in the draft for someone who wasn’t going to play.

In no way I can anticipate
The Chiefs had the pick and now the Patriots have the pick. If anything, the Patriots have needs Seattle doesn’t, but even that’s a stretch.
