Your thoughts on possible FA WRs?
Since it doesn't look like the Seahawks will be acquiring T.J. Houshmandzadeh, hopefully they will look at some other possible Free Agents. But who? Do you think we will pursue Nate Washington or Michael Clayton? After his recent DUI, Reggie Williams is most definately a no-go for Tim Ruskell. I think we need to add at least another reciever to take some pressure off of our draft, in case Crabtree is not available at 4. What are your thoughts on possible Free Agent wide receiver pick-ups?
Update: The Seahawks did in fact come to terms with T.J. Houshmandzadeh on a 5 year $40 million contract with $15 million guaranteed.

I like Washington a lot
but we don’t have a QB that would match his skill set. He’s young enough to grow with a young QB though.
Oh, no wonder why no one wanted to sign Clayton.
This whole time I was thinking it was MARK Clayton. Someone the other day wrote that after his first year, he just hasnt been good, which I thought was really weird at the time.
I've yet to hear any explanation for his disappearing act
I wouldn’t mind seeing him come here just to see first hand why he sucks.
funny.
But, I don’t know man. Maybe he just needs a change of scenery to unveil the great potential he showed his rookie season.

I wouldn't mind me some Devery Henderson
1st in DVOA, 17th in DYAR and a 57% catch rate for ’08. Put up similar numbers in ’06 too.
Hass may not have the best deep arm, but I don’t think that negates everything he could do for us. From what I’ve seen of the Saints, Brees has gets rid of the ball so quick, a lot of times he’s hitting Henderson 15-20yds downfield, and Henderson’s speed is doing the rest. He’s also a guy that can take those short and mid slants to the house at any moment.
It’s a good piece to add, and it doesn’t preclude us from drafting a WR anyways, since Henderson has always split-time and is used to it. Besides, the Saints have Colston, Moore, and a 1st round pick invested in Meachum – they may not make a big push to re-sign him.

Deion Branch can do that too...

Indeed, but if we aren't counting on him to, why is he still employed as a Seahawk?
Signing Devery Henderson would be essentially trying to replace Branch without replacing Branch. Plus, I’m wary of Saints WRs because they are like Denver and RBs when it comes to production. Damn, Brees is such a beast.

Kent is still raw and toolsy.
Branch has actually proven on the field throughout most of his career he can do that, and very well.

Henderson
drops a tons of passes and isn’t very elusive in the open field. His yards after catch are decent, but tied to his deep speed. The yards gained after a bomb aren’t the same as the yards gained after a slant. Henderson makes sense if Seattle drafts a big armed quarterback, but I can’t see how he’d work well with Hasselbeck.
