Beat me to it.
I wager he retires. Shame to see his career end this way, though. Let’s hope for Hass or Payne to step up and become the next great white hope?

I don't see why Jurevicius' prime (2001 or 2005?) would be required.
Consider his stats with the Browns:
2006
DVOA: 10.0% (24th) Thrown to/Catches/TD’s: 65/495/3
2007
DVOA: 4.6% (39th) Thrown to/Catches/TD’s: 81/614/4
Potential red-flags: his 2007 DVOA wasn’t as good as 2006 (or 2005); he is coming off a lost year and a staph infection; his value is superficially inflated because he doesn’t get as many balls thrown to him as ‘elite’ WR’s like Steve Smith (68th in 2007 DVOA), Brandon Marshall (55th (2007 DVOA), or Plaxico Burress (53rd 2007 DVOA); we have an abundance of WR’s and a scarcity of starting spots. That being said, Jurevicius has proven over the last 3 active seasons he can be a valuable role player. Provided he does not demand an exorbitant contract and a guaranteed starting position, I see no reason why the Seahawks shouldn’t check it out — least of all that he is ‘way past his prime’.

Unintentional omission:
Knee surgeries. Nevertheless, I think the Seahawks should work him out.

Problem is, the idea for him was to play for the hometown team and retire there.
Unless he’s unsatisfied with how the last couple years went from a personal production standpoint, I’m not sure he’s not ready to hang ’em up.
And I fucking hate Cleveland because how they make it an unwritten rule to have everyone get a staph infection.

These quotation seem to signal that he is not done.
“I want to play here in Cleveland. If that doesn’t happen, then the show goes on the road. But I’m going to play football next year,” Jurevicius said on Dec. 18.
“I know there is still plenty of good football left in me, so please don’t throw any dog biscuits my way when I return to Cleveland Stadium,” he said.

Alas, I’m not sure it really matters. I don’t think the Seahawks will approach him.

I thought that he was already considering retirement anyway.
Loved him in 05.
It's great to be a Florida Gator!
