Julian Peterson Might be Released.
According to KJRAM.com Julian Peterson could be released. He was apparently asked to take a pay cut and refused. Maybe Aaron Curry will be a member of the 4-3 West Coast Defense. I personally believe that Julian Peterson brings such physical freakness that releasing him would be a major mistake. Julian Peterson was our only LB to play in all the games last season. I have serious doubts about Hills ability to play through minor injuries. What are your thoughts on the situation?

Ahh!
Curry might not even fall to us. Peterson has been such a big part of our defense for the last couple of years. It would be disappointing to see him be released. But of course, adding Curry would help ease the pain.
Softy is apparently reporting it
I don’t know why but I actually want to say he has a good track record on this kind of stuff. The guys an idiot but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a source.
If there were some other people talking about this, I'd put a bit more stock into what Softy is saying
but there have to be a half-dozen local sports writers with better connections to the Seahawks FO than he has. The fact that I haven’t heard a word from Williams, Sando, or O’Neil makes me somewhat skeptical. If a story like this had legs, those three would be all over it by now.
I think what may have happened is that Softy heard that J-Pete refused to restructure his contract and put that together with the report yesterday that the ‘Hawks were looking at Curry. Put those two together and it’s plausible he interpreted that as “The Seahawks are preparing to cut or trade Peterson.”
For the record, Softy apparently reported this around 4 or 5 PM
so it’s been a few hours and no one else has confirmed it.
Well I hope it isn't true.
I’d rather lose Hill than Peterson. Trade for a 2nd or 3rd rounder and get Zach Follett.
Agreed, sad if true
I don’t understand this. It would be nice if we could get another year or two out of him before he hit the road. Maybe Ruskell views Curry as the next Derrick Brooks?
I'd hate to lose Peterson
and I’d hate to see us use our #4 on Curry.
It's great to be a Florida Gator!

O'Neil at the Times picked up on this rumor
but apparently is only reporting on what Softy said earlier today. Until more information shows up, I’m going to believe this is just speculation.
Brian... Sando (ESPN side) has it too
Apparently he dId refuse a pay cut. The implication are huge here.

I’m new to posting on this site. I didn’t realize the post’s dont actually list chronologically. I scrolled to the bottom and didn’t see my previous link there so i re-posted the comment.
Actually pretty cool forum architecture! Very intuitive in following trains of thought as threads can often get convoluted. NICE!
